"Ella?" laughed Indigo. "She went off on some crazy revenge. I can't wait to see the look on her face when she realizes who killed Patric." Her laugh was sadistic, her grin revealing pointed canines.

Ella went along reluctatly. She didnt have the will power to fight. She looked at him, she recognized him a little, bu not enough to tell who he was. "You should really learn how to aim. My arm hurts." She said.

"Oh she will do one of two things. She will kill Milo herself or break down and kill herself." Liza replied matter-of-factly.

"I can aim fine," growled Milo, trying to make his voice unrecognizable. "A cannon blast shook the deck. That, and I was warning you. I'm glad that boy took the hit- I assumed you were someone else." He opened the cell door and shoved her inside, locking it behind him. He sat down on a bench outside the cell and glared at the wall, wondering how his lie had backfired so much.

Indigo frowned and leaned back, looking up at the sky. "I hope she doesn't kill herself- Ella's a good kid. If anything, she should kill Milo and as many of the Navy as she can take with her."

"Milo betrayed us, and if she doesn't take him down, I will." Liza said "But we should really head out."

Ella sat down. "How do you know Alexa?" She asked, slightly curious.

James looked at Liza. "He didnt want to hurt her. I wouldnt say he betrayed us. He joined the Navy, starting a new life. He wasnt gonna get killed because he had old feelings for us." He said, in Milo's defense.

Milo didn't turn to face the girl, but he lowered his head and spoke quietly. "Once, long ago, she wounded me in a fight. I've been seeking revenge for a while." It wasn't the exact truth, but he didn't want Ella to know who he was.

"I agree with James," said Indigo. "The Navy is a harsh place- my brother wrote me letters quite often." Her voice turned bitter. "Before he was killed, of course."

"Well at least he has someone in his defense. But there were plenty of other options. I'll leave it at that. Now we can bunk here for the night or start moving." Liza said.

"I want revenge on her too." Ella said. She sat on her knees and fingered with the laces of her boots.


"Let's get goin'." James said.
