The Pirate wrote:On the topic of staff pets...feel free not to answer if you feel like it'll give your pet away, but I have a question for you:
What typically inspires your staff pet? (nature/character(s)/song(s)/movie(s)/feeling(s)/random/etc.)
This can also be applied to regular artists and their month-to-month litters c:

I usually like feathers/animals. My staff pet Babu is a good example. He has elements of a Raccoon (eyes and feet), peacock (feather on his back), and hawk (feathers floating around).

What country do you live in and do you know how to speak it's second official language?
I am from the United States. If I am correct, then our second language (although I do not think it is official?) is Spanish! I am conversational in Spanish, although it is improving hand over fist every day, as my SO was raised in a Mexican household/is of recent Mexican decent, and therefore he is actually occasionally more comfortable expressing himself in Spanish than English, as he spoke the former in his youth more than the latter.
Therefore, I've recently started picking it up again and trying to use it more.

Do any of you guys like to do origami?
I make little paper stars out of paper strips when I am bored.
They end up everywhere. I've started trying to keep them to my pencil holder, but they somehow end up all over the room.

Do you guys know any sign language? I'm currently learning ASL (Australian sign Language) as my poor hearing is going away *cries*
I speak a little bit of American Sign Language. One of my co-workers was deaf, and when we had to go out into the swamp to check turtle traps (yes, this used to be my job), he would take his aids out so they wouldn't accidentally get wet should he fall in.
So I learned very basic sign so I could still talk to him when he had them out. Mostly really rough and rudimentary stuff though, just to scrape by on the job until he could put his aides back in.

To anyone:
What do you do to de-stress? Read a book, sing or whatever?
I usually read a book, work on a pet-project essay or op-ed or something along those lines (something without a deadline/rules), or edit someone else's essay for them. It's therapeutic.

What country are you from, and what have you won so far in the Olympics?
Which event are you looking forward to watching the most?
I am from the United States, and thus far we have been doing pretty good in the Olympics! A few medals in a few different events!
I am looking forward to the Dressage conclusion, as Day 1 was today for Team and Individual Dressage. :)

Sorry, idk why
I. Hate. Feet.
I can't touch other peoples feet, other people cannot touch my feet, and my feet have to be clean in order for me to sleep.
It's very weird.

To Any Moderator:
This may be a bit odd of me to ask, and I'm sure it will come off that way, but do you have any advice on doing better as a moderator? I ask this because I'm a moderator on a Minecraft server with lots of kids on it, the main age range being from about six to thirteen, with older users scattered around. (Off the top of my head, I can think of someone who's 15 and someone who's 18.) My main question is mostly how to deal with drama, though. Drama is the main issue simply because there are so many children, and I'm one of the only moderators on that server. (There's only about three, not including the owner, and including me.)
Once again, sorry if this came off as odd.

How young is the youngest?
Who are they to you?
(I'm not meaning names, just titles. Ex: 'Nanna' or 'cousin')
My grandmother is the oldest, and my niece is the youngest. Though my sister's pregnant and due for either this month or the next so the youngest one will be replaced by a little one soon. 8DKaria wrote:To anyone:

I love chillin' on my bed and watching Game Grumps or Let's Plays to relax at the end of the day. OrangeSocks wrote:To anyone:

Feet are kinda weird. Especially when you're trying to draw them. They're harder to draw than hands.smofir. wrote:To: Anybody,

Because my friend's been pestering me for ages to finally watch it. I have no regrets.tεrminallyCapricious wrote:To Any Moderator:

Stay calm. No matter how much annoyance any drama causes, try to stay calm. If people are being annoying then take a break from the computer and cool down for a bit. The worst thing is having a moderator who is biased because of their own emotions, and I'm speaking from experience. I've mad bad decisions because I was too involved, and that's not good for anyone. Always try to listen to both parties in an argument and try to be as un-biased as possible. Ask other moderators for help with large issues, and keep any warnings or reminders short and to the point, not aggressive. People generally lose focus if they have to read long warnings and such, so keep it to the point. Give information when people ask, and don't let warnings change your opinion on someone.
A big tip would also be: listen to people. Sometimes people will critique you, but this isn't always a bad thing. Take from this criticism what you need to better yourself, and don't take it personally.
Keeping a list of disciplinary actions you need to take based on what rules someone can break is also very useful, so you don't ban someone for the same thing you warned someone else over. Share this list with the other mods so you're on the same level. This isn't always easy but it helps.

xxxxxI recently (over the summer) quickly became very interested in and invested in the The Walking Dead franchise. Do any of y'all keep up with it (be it the comics, the webisodes, the main series or the spin-off), and are you looking forward to the seventh season of the main series?
you can call me acata or acaxxxxxpreviously Moona_ (also go by Moona and Moon)

Many of my first pets, they're not as good I could have made them.

I only sing when no one is around. I usually doodle mindlessly in my sketch book.

Hows it like to be a cs artist?
Really great! I am so glad I made the change from Oekaki Mod, being an artist is really more up my alley. Making pets for CS is one my favourite things to do, better then my art homework lol

Singapore, the second language is Mandarin Chinese. The only Chinese I know is how to count to ten.
