"D..." He tried to say it. He couldn't, it would make it real. It would make this seem like it was more than just a nightmare. He looked down at the ground, tears falling off his face and onto the floor. "Dad is dead." He choked out in barely more than a whisper.

Mottlefur also fluffed up her fur to stay warm. ''Visiting them would be nice, but we should probably refrain from it for a while since they seem busy with their pups, plus they could forget us like you said.'' She said. She noticed that they were in the spot where they met Spike and looked to the side and saw their camp in the distance.

Falconheart
He agreed completely. "Best case scenario, they remember us and we're welcomed back. Worst case scenario, they forget us and try to rip us to shreds." He said, the last part more silent and serious. He bolted towards the camp at full speed, looking back at Mottlefur. "Race you!" He called to her, already having a unfair advantage from the headstart.

''Cheater!'' Mottlefur called out as she bolted after Falconheart. She was a tail length away from him, and tried to go even faster. She tripped on a rock and fell over, crashing into Falconheart.

Falconheart
He stuck out his tongue at his friend, only to notice that she was pretty close behind. As she tripped and knocked into him he let out a meow of confusion, unsure of what had just happened. His confusion didn't last long, as he burst out in giggles moments later.

[Weredog]

Cloudgaze began to groom Spottedpaw in an attempt to calm him down from whatever was troubling him but she suddenly stopped when she heard what he said. "What?" The queen whispered at a nearly inaudible volume, "L-Leopardstripe is...Dead?" Her body language made her distress quite evident but it seemed like she hadn't quite completely registered that her mate, or ex-mate really, was dead.

Mottlefur started laughing as well and stood up. While Falconheart was down, she began to zoom over to the cabin.

"Hey!" The tabby yelled, rushing to get up and running again. He continued to laugh as he raced. Soon he was somewhat close to Mottlefur. He hoped he could win, but his chances looked slim.

"W-we found him at the gorge." Spottedpaw whispered. "Me and Sparrowpaw. He was at the bottom, dead, and we couldn't get his body. There was no blood on the ground, no blood on his body that we could see, nothing to indicate a battle or that he was hurt before, and no scent of cats. It makes no sense." He didn't believe that he had killed himself. There was nothing to show it that he had done, not that Spottedpaw knew of at least.

Cloudgaze immediately felt an overwhelming sense of guilt wash over her. This was her fault. It was her fault that Leopardstripe had killed himself and she knew it. "Has anybody told Stripestar yet?" She asked in an unusually high pitched voice as she attempted to prevent herself from completely breaking down right there.
