"H-how do you know my name?!" Flamekit hissed, trying to appear threatening even as he backed away. "Only my mom knows my name! You see this blood on my pelt? It's from... killing a fox!" He had to get away. There was a stranger who knew his name trying to talk to him and claimed to know his mom. Maybe she would buy the lie of the blood being the fox's and not his... mothers...

"I helped your mother when she was giving birth to you," Thrushleap explained quietly. "Please. I won't hurt you," she meowed.

Confusion warred across his face as he tried to think of what to do next. Emberstorm never mentioned other cats except three. His father, his two sisters and her brother. "Momma said most cats she met hurt her and said they wouldn't. How do I know you're not doing the same thing?!" Flamekit meowed, fear creeping into his eyes. This cat hadn't even said her name and expected him to trust her? But then... Emberstorm had mentioned cats she had stayed with for a while. A group of cats named... Pineclan? She had said something about them being decent cats and her brother was with them.

(If you wanna leave then that's fine, the roleplay goes very fast and it's hard to fit in quickly. But keep in mind, if you start building relationships with some of the older characters and you aren't in active it's easy to fit in. A few litters are going to be born soon, which is a good way to fit in.)

Cloudgaze made a soft, whimpering sound of pain. Not physical pain, no, but emotional. Knowing that Leopardstripe distrusted her this much to not believe her when she said she wasn't going to leave him even after tracking him down through the cold and snow. "I won't. I already said I won't...I don't know what you want me to do to prove that to you." She said, her voice cracking with emotion, "I don't want to leave you but I can't live the rest of my life with a mate who is just waiting for me to leave him."

Leopardstripe shook his head. "You don't understand. I'm not waiting. I know it'll happen. Thrushleap will win you over. I'm not worthy to be your mate." He 'looked' at the ground.

Beaver sighed. He stepped out of the bathroom and nodded. "Yeah?" He asked. He wasn't in the mood for arguing.

"I... I wanted to apologize." Rustpelt said with a sigh. "I was young and you were young and none of us were thinking straight. I shouldn't have held the grudge for that long." Even after everything she couldn't help but wonder what could have been. She could have confessed her love that night. She could have been his mate. She could have had his kits. She could have been sitting outside the elders den with him, just enjoying his company. When it was finally time to go to StarClan she could have looked back on her life with no regrets. But now she had one, two, three, who was counting? She had one life to live and she was blowing it with petty grudges and stupid decisions.

Beaver smiled. "I need to apologize, also. I'm sorry I left before you could forgive me." He licked her shoulder in a friendly manor.

"Then leave me. Get it over with right now and break up with me so that you won't have to wait." Cloudgaze said with a soft hiss. It felt like her heart was breaking but she simply couldn't take it. She did not want to stay with someone who couldn't trust her like that and yet she also couldn't bring herself to leave him herself because she was still in love with him.

Rustpelt smiled. "And I should have gone after you. Things would have been different." She sighed.
