Falconheart repeated what he had done before, running to another tree. After they'd done this a couple more times and the dog didn't appear any less tired, he began to get bored. "Mottlefur, it isn't tiring out. If we try to go back it might follow us. I don't think the others would appreciate that." He said, slightly worried. "It might go away if we just wait here, but I don't know..."

"You don't have to put your love aside, you just can't show that you love her, and you can't go chasing after her! She has me, but you're making me look like a JOKE!" Leopardstripe frowned. "I don't want the same thing that happened with Owlfeather, happen with my soulmate! I love Cloudgaze to the full moon and back, and if she gets stolen from me... I-I... I would rather be dead!" Leopardstripe started feeling like he was going to cry again, but he tried to keep his cool.

''Maybe we could find something to distract it?'' Mottlefur suggested. She couldn't really thing of many ways to distract a dog, but they could think of something eventually... right?

"I'm not TRYING to make you look like a joke. And I said nothing that did make you look like one," Thrushleap meowed. "You're an admirable cat, Leopardstripe, and everyone here knows that." She paused for a moment or two, then continued. "Not showing someone I love them is casting my feelings aside. Don't you see that?"

"No it's not! You still love them, but they don't need to know it!" Tears trickled down his face. "I need Cloudgaze in my life. I love her so much and couldn't bear to lose her!"

"I don't know how well it'll work, but we can try." He said, a thoughtful look on his face. "What can distract a dog though?" They could throw the stick really far, but how? Cats only had so much strength.

[Weredog]

Cloudgaze's ears stayed pinned against her head and she didn't say much. She didn't really want to take either side, considering that she loved both of these cats very much and hated fighting in general. Why did love have to be this complicated?

Thrushleap;;

Thrushleap padded forward, pressing her nose to the tom's. "And you won't. She loves you. Not.. me." She hated to say it, but she didn't believe that Cloudgaze loved her as much as she wished she would.

[PopcornWaffle]

Leopardstripe hissed. "Stop saying that! I know she loves you. I know it because she doesn't talk to me anymore. She only talks to you. She defends you, not me. She talks to you in the sweetest way, and she also talks about you that way, also. I'm losing her, and I can't do anything about it because I'm stupid and a terrible mate and father." Leopardstripe felt the tears come faster, and all he could do was walk away.

"Leopardstripe, wait," Thrushleap meowed, padding after him. "Would she be having more KITS with you if she didn't love you? If she loved me like you, then she would have insisted she didn't want any more kits. And talk to you a LOT LESS than she does now," she meowed. "Owlfeather loves you, too. I don't think she did either of those things to you." Of course, the calico queen would know plenty about both of these things~ they both happened to her with her first mate. [not Slateclaw]
