Tiger glanced up, hearing something that sounded like prey. He crouched down and stalked the sound, not seeing it but hearing it. When he got close, he caught a whiff of cat scent, but he shrugged it off. Tiger pounced on his prey, which turned out to be a cat!

"Has she got a way of communicating?" Sorrel knew he was being overprotective, but if any of his kin, adopted or not, got hurt by the clan he wouldn't be able to live with himself.
