[Maple River]

Mapleriver groaned, then whispered, "Thank you." She fell asleep again. When she woke up, she found a strange looking herb near her mouth, and a few poppyseeds. She ate the herb with no complaints, because she couldn't taste all that well due to her not working nose. The poppyseeds she refused. About to groom herself, she noticed big clumps of cobwebs on the wound in her leg, where a tree fell on it during the storm. She looked around and noticed another cat nearby.

Swiftfire stood slowly as she saw the cat starting to wake up again. "Are you feeling any better?" she asked carefully, tilting her head at the uneaten poppyseeds. "You haven't touched the seeds.. they'll ease the pain, you know."

[Maple River]

"I don't want to sleep. And thanks, I am feeling a bit better. Um... where am I?" She yawned sleepily, and tried to get up, but a great pain in her leg made her lay back down. She looked at the other cat. "You saved my life."

[grimgrinning_]

Swiftfire's pelt grew hot. "Well, probably not your life.. But you should be able to walk again, eventually. You're in the StormClan camp. I'm Swiftfire, by the way."

[Maple River]

"Oh. Okay. I'm Mapleriver." She looked around again. "I was separated from my clan in a storm. Lightning hit a tree, the tree hit my leg, and I got this wound. Also, ever since then I can't smell. Lightning caused a fire, and I was the only one able to escape. Probably because I was on one side of the tree, they were on the other, you can guess the rest." Mapleriver seemed to be a bit grumpy. She was in a lot less pain then when she first discovered the camp, but still, it hurt. "Who leads you?" She asked anxiously.

appearance: Redthistle is a reddish brown she cat with a tan underbelly, under tail, left ear, and white back left leg, and chest. She also has a tan back right leg, tan front left leg and muzzle. Black front right leg, splash of black on her right thigh, top of head, black ear and two slashes of black on her tail. She has amber eyes.

A small grin appeared on his face as his apprentice Wolfpaw padded over to them and just as he was about to speak he heard a cat's yowl which seemed to affected Swiftfire since she ran quickly over to where the sound came from. He saw a cat laying by the camp entrance, Because of this he quickly hopped up and made his way over when she yelled she needed a strong stick. And hearing that Graynose sprung into action and flew past them out the camp entrance and came back a little bit later with a stick clenched between his jaws. He wasn't sure if this stick was really strong like she wanted but it would have to do for now. "Here is this what you need?" He asked as he dropped it down next to Swiftfire, panting from running so fast.

Darkpaw forced a smile on her face as she approached her mentor, she already felt bad when she messed up in front of her mentor but in front of another apprentice was ten times worse. Just another thing from them to make fun of her about. Then all of a sudden a small tortoiseshell cat raced under her causing her to jump in surprise. It was Mudkit, the little kitten the clan had found abandon a while after she was found. He asked if he could hide under her leg which made her feel a bit insecure until Willowheart came chasing after him and scolding him for what he said. Darkpaw quickly jumped in saying "Don't worry he didn't mean any harm." before offering the she-cat a small smile. The apprentice then heard what Mudkit muttered which made her ears droop a bit, he was right but she felt happy that he thought of other cats feelings unlike some apprentices . Then a frightening yowl echoed around camp which made the black and white furred apprentice bush up her fur in surprise. Swiftfire and Graynose seemed to take action which meant she'd have to wait a little while before training with Wolfpaw but she was in no hurry at all.

Mapleriver poked her head of of the medicine cats den. Immediately she was surrounded by curious stares. She backed into the medicine cats den again and are the poppyseeds. A short while later, she was asleep.

Swiftfire padded out after the she-cat fell asleep, shaking her pelt to calm the last of her nerves. She butted Graynose's shoulder in thanks for his help, then padded over to Darkpaw's side and swiped her tongue over the young she-cat's head when she saw her drooping ears. "Come on, little one. Graynose is going to help me find a way to make that leg into a strength for you." Her eyes shone as she looked down at the small cat.
