Laurel glanced anxiously at her friend, noting the unhappiness on Lozen's face. "You don't have to go, Lozen." She whispered into her ear.

Lichenflower eyed Skystar sharply. "Will our apprentices be going?" She called, her eyes worried. This battle would be dangerous for Otterpaw and Sweetpaw.

lozen flicked her tail. she shook her head. "no, i'll go. i don't want to look weak," she said to laurel.

skystar shook her head. "they can observe from a far distance but they need more experience before they can be in a battle like this one," she said.

[tauriel.]

Laurel glanced towards Skystar and back to Lozen. "You aren't weak." She replied. Laurel knew Lozen and had seen her fight. There was no doubt in Laurel's mind that Lozen could handle herself.

Lichenflower was relieved. Otterpaw would be safe if she didn't disobey orders and charge right into the battle. "Thank you Skystar."

lozen unsheathed her claws. "and I am going to prove that," she said to laurel. she was going to show her new clan that she knew how to fight.

skystar dipped her head lichenflower. "of course," she said, her voice lowered and directed to the she-cat. she lifted her head. "now, we must train for the battle," she said.

Laurel gave her friend an encouraging glance. Lozen wanted to prove her strength but Laurel was fighting for another reason; to show her loyalty to her new clan.

Kestrelflight listened intently to Skystar, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. Perhaps the training wasn't that fun, but it would help save their lives in the battle.

lozen looked at laurel. "should we train then?" she asked the she-cat.

skystar hoped down from the rock and looked around. everyone would need to be training but she needed to talk to aspentail. "aspentail, we need to plan," she said to her deputy.

Aspentail nodded at Skystar. "Of course, just a minute." He padded up to Blizzardheart. "Could you train with Lozen, Laurel, and Cypress please? Show them a few battle moves and make sure they can handle themselves." He said. The former loners hadn't been trained as warriors and wouldn't be as good at fighting as the clan cats. After talking to Blizzardheart, he padded back to Skystar. "Let's plan then." He replied, eyes narrowing with determination.

Laurel nodded. "Sure," She agreed, her tortoishell ears flicking lightly. This would be a dangerous battle, but she was determined to prove her loyalty to the clan by fighting with them.

lozen nodded then walked over to a clearing with laurel. she hoped that cypress would join them but that was his choice.

skystar nodded. "i will wait for you in my den," she said before walking off towards her large den. she sat down and waited. blizzardheart nodded. "of course," he said to the deputy then walked towards lozen and laurel, picking up cypress on the way. "aspentail asked me to help you three train," he said. skystar watched as aspentail walked in then nodded. "alright, so we will need to split the clan up between the two of us," she said.

Cypress sat down next to Laurel and Lozen, his yellow-green gaze fixed on Blizzardheart. He nodded, glancing at Lozen and Laurel. His sister seemed excited enough about training as did Lozen.

Aspentail flicked his tail calmly. "Half of the cats with me and half with you." He agreed. "One group to start the attack and the other to finish them?" The deputy suggested.

I think it would be interesting to have a relationship between a moonclan cat and a sunclan cat.
