so the funniest thing happened-

on my birthday, after coming home from an amusement park, i walked into the living room, greeted my
bird, and began heading for the hallway until my parents stopped me. apparently, i had passed right over
the biggest birthday present i've received, right splat in the middle of the room. on top of that, it was
wrapped in super bright blue wrapping paper, so i can't believe my eyes didn't catch that.
