Hey guys, can someone tell me if this is legit or fake? It looks like it's from the real site but it seems too good to be true..

My gf and I are on a debate if this is legit promo on the legendries or if someone has just put too much time into making a scam.

Probably a scam. I did a bit of digging and found a post about it on another forum. It said that the site was made 2 weeks ago, and that once you get 10 people it gives you a content locker survey. For those who don't know, a content locker survey is a survey that won't let you go on to the website until you finish it.
Also, Niantic has said that legendary pokemon won't be in the game until it's been introduced worldwide.


On another note, it turns out my app hasn't updated and I still have footsteps and the nearest to farthest order on the radar. Yay!

Guys, even if it's just "possibly" a scam, don't share the links on CS. It makes other users more likely to click things, and then if it is a problem more people are at risk.

If you're not sure if something is a scam or not, go to a trustworthy site (like Nintendo or Pokémon's site) and use their search functions. If you don't find any official information, it is likely a scam. ;D

polerberr: I very much agree with you. I think developers should really work with their fanbase. Communication and respect both ways is important. Sadly we're now pretty much living in the age of "corporations want to make a lot of money; patrons sure better follow rules if they want to stay out of trouble." It's a little brutal, even though its legal, and I don't think creators are gonna get through with making much nowadays if its big. Of course, I'm the person who cringes when I see things like outdoor painters banned from painting cities because they "don't have a permit", or deviantArt artists who get totally ripped off by companies that use their art and mass market it. So unfortunately for all the people making amazing content in the theme of Pokémon Go, I don't think it will stay up on the Internet long enough for the rest of us to enjoy.

Do any of you guys have legendaries? Like the birds or Mew/Mewtwo?

Yesssss same I love seeing the yellow liek where I live almost all the gyms are mystic and valor T^T Icri because I'm still too low level atm (only 7) so none of the pokemon I catch have high CP and I just want to be able to take a gym XD (nothing against other teams though of course)

Was able to get back into my account, and got a medal for "3 tiny rattatas". Huh.
Also, I beat a gym and had it taken by another player nearby, and I was with my friend so he literally freaked out about it

In the end we took it back though, so woohoo.

@Polerberr + @Solarizing, while I agree with you both on certain points, I don't think we should be quite as hard on Niantic. PoGo has been an overwhelming success. So much so that in the first week~ so many people would try and get on that the servers would overload and crash. Heck, it set an app store record for most downloads of an app in the first week. (7.5 million in the US alone) If that's not impressive and overwhelming then I don't know what is. I don't think anyone could have really foreseen such a huge turnout and the problems they might cause. (i.e. server issues)

Until recently I wasnt aware of how small Niantic is. Its not like Nintendo, not even close. Here is the link to their linkedin page where it says that they only have 11-50 employees. 50 employees is most definitely not enough people to support PoGO. They aren't just working on PoGO either, so that adds even more workload. (They're actually hiring, thankfully c;)
I was a bit disappointed with the update myself, (the thicker text did bother me too, such a petty thing though to be bothered by, yet I still am) I think that they are focusing on fixing the smaller issues first, to help improve the app overall. The tracking system is one of the main features, it was causing a lot of problems as it was bugged. So they had to remove the other steps and eventually remove the steps completely. I will reiterate, the tracking system is one of their main features, and I'd like to think they are taking their time with it because a lot is riding on it. They may be trying out several new things or attempting to fix the old system, which will take time. It will make or break for some people, so Im glad its not being rushed. I don't think they are purposefully ignoring the suggestions and what not, I just think they have so much on their plate already that they might not be able to focus on things like that. Or maybe they are listening to the fanbase, but are still working on actually implementing such things.

Anyway, that's just my perspective on the whole thing, but I am frustrated as well. Its just that Pokemon Go is still in its infancy and I don't want to be so quick to dismiss it and Niantic. Lighter note: I really enjoy the new animations, badges, and item images
