So, today I managed to hatch my very first Egg. Was a 2km Egg.
My Sis hatched hers, too.
She got Squirtle, woo.
What do I get?
Of course. Caterpie.

And to top that of, I caught another Caterpie after that and it was better than the one from the Egg ... *sighs and crawls in a hole*

At least I caught Seel today and Sis didn´t get it ^__^ (Gosh, I´m so mean xD)

And just caught my second Spearow - no match to my first one though - ... Ah I love the two Spawns right next to my House

Caught another golbat today...
I have 200+ Zubat candies before I transferred any of them ||D.

Also spent 10 minutes trying to catch a clefairy. Used 10 razz berries and ~40 pokeballs.
At least I caught it XD.

I just noticed the new Pokemon Go Update on my play store. I have updated.

In general, much better for what we can do. I changed my character up a bit, feels better now.

One observation I am making so far is that with the footsteps gone, I have less pokemon nearby. My conclusion so far (and this needs testing) is that perhaps they have also taken the draw distance down. So instead of seeing things that could be up to 90 meters away (previously 3 footsteps), it could be a lot less now like 50? (which was previously 2 foosteps). In logical terms, this compensates for the footsteps because it means you aren't just blindly walking around, you have some notion that is is actually nearby now and can only see the nearby stuff.

I was crossreferencing the few things I could see on my game with the pokevision and a few things it saw ingame were only in the next road for me, and stuff further away was no longer noted, which made me assume this was possible.

Take this with a pinch of salt anyway but it is a thought as to how they have simply compensated for the footstep removal.

Found a way to get pokemon on your nearby tracker since its freaking broken...

Type the city and state your in and it shows all the pokemon in the area, i know it works because i caught a Doduo when I used it :D
