I used to listen to them when they were popular, but the only song I can think of from the top of my head is "Check Yes Juliet." I always thought that song was so cute ^u^

General Helpers cannot be "promoted;" we must apply for a position like any other regular user and we do not have an increased chance of getting a position. ^^ Being a GH and being a moderator are completely different.

If you see an image you want to use, you can right-click the image and select "Copy image URL," then paste it into IMG tags, just like the gif you have in your signature. c:

Were you ever nervous about doing something wrong when you first joined the staff?

I would never be able to be a mod i'd be terrified of doing something wrong lmao

I am always nervous about doing something wrong.
However, I have to explain that my fear of failure and mistakes is very irrational and is something that I am working to overcome. I am scared to make mistakes because I feel humiliated at even the smallest one. It's not a charming example of perfectionism - it's a manifestation of a personality disorder I have. And it sucks.
Things like being a GH really help me with my problem, because I have to keep coming back. I'd rather not make mistakes, but they happen. Everybody makes them.
My responsibilities here do a lot to encourage me to never give up, and to keep going.

And last but definitely not least, to the General Helpers

I'm very happy with my rank. If I didn't want to be a GH, then I would not have applied for the position.

Something that needs to be said (and which seems like a common misconception) is that GH isn't some sort of step on the ladder to being a mod or more.
If a GH wants to be a mod, they have to apply for it just like any other person would. It's not a promotion, it's more like switching jobs.^^

Being a mod isn't like being a GH but with more powers.While mods can do GH stuff, it's a part of our purpose to make sure they don't have to. We do much of what we do so that the mods have time to focus on things that actually require their attention.

On occasion it happened that GHs joined the mod team because they realized that it would suit them better. Sometimes people do grow and suddenly they're great for a position they didn't originally intend to take.
But people should not treat the GH position as some sort of aid for their goal to become a moderator.

...Sad thing is, I can't play Go because I've got a Windows phone.
But my heart is firmly with Valor, and if through some miracle I ever do get to play, that's 100% who I'd be joining.

Over the time that you've been here on chickensmoothie, what was your absolute favourite summer event theme?

I remember enjoying the first one, the medieval faire, a lot!

Dear any artist who has developed a pet or item in this space event, how did you come up with the designs and ideas? Thank you!

I really like galaxy print clothes and I thought it would be such a shame to have a space theme but not have any galaxy print clothes. I only managed to make one galaxy print dress and a moon pendant. I really wanted to do more but the galaxy print wasn't easy to re-draw.

To: Any staff living with someone else/siblings etc:
So your sibling/whoever goes to the bathroom. Then you hear them yelling "Could you get me a roll of toilet paper" or something along those lines. Has this ever happened to you?

We keep our toilet paper in the bathroom so this doesn't happen lol

Of course! I always get worried about doing something, but I'm a lot more relaxed now (New things in general can make anyone nervous I'm sure!)

Hmm! Probably the beginners or intermediate boards, I know advanced gets a lot of attention but there's nothing like seeing new artists blossom or seeing great art in the intermediate boards as well!
