It was unforgettable too, though he wished it weren't. He had no desire to go near it anytime soon, although he probably would've gone with her anyway if she was the one who suggested it. MapleLeaf sat in her den revising the herb stock. Ever since she became the new medicine cat everyone started to watch her as she was a stranger. Poor Maple knew why and understood that they were sad when the previous medicine cat disappeared but that doesn't help her cope with the eerie silence that filled her den.

Ivy prowled along the MistClan border. Her urge to stalk and deceive a young apprentice was gnawing at her mind. She hissed and shook her head. Later. She promised as she slipped across the invisible scent line.

MothPaw trotted into her clan's camp with a juicy vole in between her jaws. She held her tail high as she pranced over to the kill-pile, delicately dropping her contribution at the top. She was determined to show herself off to the other apprentices and warriors as she left her prey behind her.

As he felt his body freeze he realized it would be best to stick over by Vixenfang who would lead him to the medicine cat's den instead of him wondering around to find it, Toad then turned around and silently snuck over towards her and began walking behind her. She seemed to be heading towards a young female cat who was sitting outside one of their dens although he didn't question, he just his distance a few tail-lengths behind her.

Vixenfang approached the medicine cat's den, spotting the vague silhouette of Mapleleaf though the narrow entrance. "Follow me, Toad. The medicine cat is just inside here." She announced, then turned and beckoned to the small opening with her tail. With the young tom right behind her, she slipped right through the crack into the dimly lit den. The rich scent of herbs immediately greeted her nose but she could still pick out the scent of another cat. Taking a few steps closer she nodded to the medicine cat, whose eyes were already probably adjust to the dark, "Greetings Mapleleaf, I have brought a patient for you."

"Well..." she paused, as if trying to think of a way to explain something, "There's this twoleg yard facing the woods. One day, I came there looking for birds feeding at this seed post on inside of the fence, but instead there was this tiny fluffy white dog guarding the lawn. He's the got the most yappiest little trap I've ever seen, yet alone heard. Sometimes, I go there just to tease him for a laugh, but when the twoleg is home and hears him outside, barking, he comes out and yells at him; it's a riot!" She said, remembering the enjoyment she felt when the dog got punished for doing it's own job. "You should come there with me today, it's been a while since I've gone, and I bet that little dog has forgotten all about me. It's harmless, really!"

Mapleleaf looked up at VixenFang and glanced over at the tom that accompanied her. "What is wrong with him?" She purred with a voice like silk as she stood up and sniffed at him.

Ivy padded slowly and silently around MistClan's Territory. Her mouth open slightly as if to taste the scents around her. A mouse nearby heard the she-cat coming and quickly scurried out the way. Ivy watched it go with a flick of her tail and turned, walking further into the territory.

The male calico followed behind Vixenfang at a steady pace but still keeping his distance. Then as they neared what Vixenfang called 'The medicine cat's den' he began to pick up a lot of strong as strange scents that made his nose wrinkle. Then From What Toad could see was that inside of the smelly den was a she-cat who he assumed was their Medicine cat from how Vixenfang greeted her, then muttering a few curses under his breath as he felt one of his wounds sting from rubbing agents the den wall. Toad then walked up beside Vixenfang and right away was approached by the she-cat who gave him a couple sniffs which caused him to step back feeling nervous around this new cat.

Mapleleaf watched the tom back off as she started to examine him. By the look of him, she guessed he was in pain and started to observe the bundles of herbs she neatly arranged that morning. "What happened?" She said to Toad, not even glancing back at him.

Heron listened eagerly to her idea and laughed just thinking about the two-legs reaction. "Sure I'll go! Sounds fun. Just lead the way," the young tom meowed, his tail waving excitedly. The patrol earlier had given him something to focus on, but it hadn't exactly been fun. He wondered why the dog didn't just run away. He certainly would, if he was trying to help someone and they just yelled at him for it. Ah, it just proved the stupidity of the dog.

Once Mapleleaf moved back a bit to examine something this triggered Toad to become curious and made him take a few steps forward so he could see what she was looking at. A bunch of neatly arraigned piles of berries and all sorts of other plants. He was impressed by this since he had never seen anything like this before. Then as the Medicine cat spoke he looked over at her and glanced between her and Vixenfang after Mapleleaf asked a question. Toad guessed that the question was directed at him since Vixenfang didn't answer. So he took a deep breath and answered her "One of your cats attacked me" the calico tom said, trying to hide the anger in his voice.

As all three cats gathered he glanced around at all three of them before speaking. You three will be going on the evening patrol,and make sure you check the Stream to make sure no Darkclan cats are trespassing" Greynose said before dismissing them with a wave of his tail and walking towards the Medicine cat's den. He didn't want to disturb them so he just took a peek before wondering off somewhere else in camp.

Once Greynose finished speaking to them Ashpaw stuck out her tongue and muttered something really quietly about not wanting to go on a patrol. But after that she looked up at her Mentor Pinefalls who was still feeling pretty down so Ashpaw took a deep breath as a wide smile grew on her face "Hey Pinefalls!" She said as she turned to her mentor, I've been working on that cool fishing technique that you showed me, and since we're going to the stream I can show you then!" The young apprentice said with a chirp of excitement in her voice, she may not of wanted to go on the patrol but she had really wanted to show Pinefalls how much better she had got at fishing. Then just after that the gray furred apprentice stood up and trotted towards the camp entrance, turning around half-way there to see if they were following. "Come on Slow-slugs!" Ashpaw wanted to yell that out but it only came out normal since at the last second she realized she didn't want to draw too much attention to herself by yowling loudly like a mousebrain
