❰ ryker grey of shadow peak ❱─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────commanding hunter // burning pine wood // voice of j. ackles // tagged;; venus"Well, I think that was disrespectful of you," the older, scrawnier brute challenged, his voice scratchy and hoarse. "I have the right to stop talking to you, that wasn't rude. You talking about my mother is," the opposing wolf argued, handsome even, but he had tiresome eye bags, and his expression lacked any type of signs of feeling. Without warning, the scarred brute stepped forward, his ivory teeth showing gruesomely. The younger wolf stared, un-amused. He couldn't move. He couldn't protect himself, nor his mother, nor his friends. He was stuck.
Ryker woke, the only indication being his wide eyes. He dragged in slow, deep breaths, calming himself. He closed his eyes and tried to recreate the scenario. He tried so hard to stop it, to kill the other wolf so he could be safe, and to not have to worry about the disgrace of a being he was. Rye grunted and let his head fall between his paws, rubbing his eyes and snout. The heavy smell in the den consisted of only two. A distinctive one was a warm, smoky scent of pine, like the type of aroma it released when it was burnt. It was dense, and it was also his. The other consisted of light and fresh lilacs, a common tall and aromatic flower stem, and berries soft and beautiful, a touch of bliss. That was Venus. The she-wolf was much younger than him, and somewhat something had pulled them together. Ryker was a soft little hunter, with a heart of gold, and potential. After years, only that potential survived. You can't be the best when you let people take advantage of you. Don't trust anybody. I screwed up and now I'm here.
The gray and white brute narrowed his eyes, resentment draping over his being. He dragged in another breath, the warmth beside him undeniably comforting, and at the same time it set him off, making him want to run and hide. "V, get up," he said, his voice smothering the quietness of the commander's den. He brushed the fae's ear with his tongue and waited, placing his head near hers. For him, it was such an odd connection, life even, it was weird.

She dipped her head to Orion in the utmost respect, for she held a strong sense of gratitude for the male that she called her mate. Though she played very little part in the pack's everyday life she was thankful that in some way's he tried to include her, as well as they other faes. Though she knew the brute was not in love with her, she couldn't help but find herself somewhat affectionate towards him. She enjoyed his company, despite the way he kept himself... and his emotions... guarded, and she did all she could to give him space and respect he required. However, with late winter on the horizon's, there was a matter they needed to discuss. She pushed the thought away, but only for a split second, to answer his question. "Of course, Orion. I can do that," she stated in a delicate voice. Her tail swayed ever so slightly, stirring the snow momentarily. "Orion" she started, quietly so that hopefully only the brute to which she was speaking would hear her "when you return, may we discuss something?" she remarked softly, her heart thrumming with the fear of a rejection. She was not yet ready to carry pups, but she did want his opinion on the matter. It was a reasonable discussion, or so she thought, but would Orion feel the same? They had not exactly chosen each other, however, she with Alcander as the new alpha, the ruling, for her at least, was not to be broken. Too easily could she be exiled from the pack. To easy could he snap his jaw around her neck, ending her life. She would not fight back, because, despite her sarcastic tongue and independent voice, she was terrified of the brute. She was terrified of what he was capable of, especially in the position of leader. I could barely hurt a fly" he chortled, his tail swaying ever so slightly behind him. He enjoyed the company of his fellow hunters, thought Olympia was rather quiet, and enjoyed the playful bickering between them. He turned towards Olympia once more "You can wake me. I will not bite you" he remarked, his tone serious, meaningful. However, his thoughts were ripped away as Constandine appeared. His blue eyes turned to her in silent respect, but there was more dancing across his cerulean iris's than that. For the fiery brute was rather fond of the fae, he had been for quite some time but he was also aware that he may never win her heart, but of course that would not stop him from trying. When the beautiful fae stepped back out of the den, he stayed in his somewhat dream like haze, staring after her. He was torn away from the thoughts when Skyedancer's teasing words cut through the fray. He began to retort but before he was given the chance her tail flicked his nose briefly and she disappeared out the den. He let out a small huff before sliding out the den after her, determined to call her out, but alas that was not an option for she was standing beside the fae in question. Instead of making a scene he trotted towards them, his shoulder lightly bumping Skyedancer's shoulder as he set his narrow haunches down next to her. "Good morning Constandine" he remarked, dipping his head in respect.

SCARLET
sep.
♛
alpha female of eternal ridge | smells of cinnamon & honey | romance none | tagged alastaire, constandine, olympia, yaksha, zethian, skyedancer
space. deep within the eternal ridge alpha’s den was scarlet, sitting tall and facing the wall. she had begun to wake up earlier than usual each morning for a while now, as the thoughts of another battle between packs kept crossing her mind. she truly did not mind the idea, actually, she enjoyed a good battle. and while pretty much everyone in either packs seemed to be absolutely terrified of alcander, the new shadow peak alpha, scarlet was unaffected by him, in that sense at least. she hated how he led the pack, but his personality was something she could actually handle. she had no plans to get close to him in that way however, in fact she had a completely different plan that nobody but herself knew about. scarlet had an ever so noticeable desire for blood the past couple months…she just wanted blood…alcander’s blood, to be specific. although scarlet didn’t really care how he ran things in the pack, she didn’t care how he acted or how aggressive he was…but there was something that happened since pack’s last battle that just wouldn’t let scarlet back on ease.
space.edward.
space.edward was scarlet’s deceased mate, he wasn’t one for fighting one bit, but being that he was a part of the eternal ridge pack he was dragged into it. oh…poor old edward. scarlet didn’t know for sure which wolf had actually taken part in killing him, but scarlet always assumed it as alcander, which led to her unwavering and burning hatred to destroy him ever since the first battle. scarlet had been secretly planning to kill alcander herself ever since she discovered edward’s body practically mauled. whether or not alcander had actually done it himself was beyond scarlet, but she never actually took that possibility as an option. when she was told of edward’s death she immediately thought alcander, and he has been her target ever since. she never considered anybody else, and probably never would.
space.scarlet jumped in slight surprise as a voice met her ears. alastaire. her ears pinned down to her skull and she waited a moment. “of course i am.” the mostly onyx colored fae said, voice quiet but heavily laced with annoyance, not with alastaire, but with her previous thoughts of alcander. the she-wolf rose to her paws and padded out of her den, her rather slim yet toned and muscular frame washed with the morning light. disgusting. she much rather preferred the dark, it was much easier to hide in and of course just easier on the eyes and pelt. “gather the hunters and huntresses out for quick hunt,” she ordered. “and i expect you to return with something… i will personally visit the guards and give them each orders as i see fit.”
space.and with that, scarlet padded off towards her guards. the large sinewy fae slinked by and as she approached the group of guards she rose her head high and let a snarl rip from her jaws. she glared at each and every one of them, “as long as i have been alpha around here i was beginning to think my guards would know when to stop ‘chatting’ and do their jobs.” came from the callous fae as she licked her lips and bore her fangs in a teasing manner, as if she were going to eat one of them for lunch. “i guess i was wrong.” the alpha female stared them all down, “and much to my displeasure i see my commanding guard here as well, sitting on her rump and not giving out any orders it seems, constandine.”
space.“if i remember correctly, that is your job, to give out orders to the guards if i am not around. oh, but look at this, my ‘precious’ wolves sitting around almost in a little circle like puppies around a mother.” the fae said, her once teasing tone had completely disappeared and it was clear that she was ready to rip somebody’s head off. “get to work.” snapped scarlet, “olympia, zethian, you two head off towards the western side of the border. skyedancer, yaksha, you head off towards the southern part of the border. constandine,” her eyes locked with the commanding guard’s. “take the northern side.”

The white she-wolf let out a tired sigh to her friend and spoke in a gentle voice, although much more confident than before, "actually, not so well...I think the cold is just getting to me." Evelyn knew exactly what was happening during the night, but she didn't nor could she allow the cream colored wolf to worry about her phobia. Snow simply fell from a pine tree when a chubby squirrel bounced through it, sending the snow to plop on the white wolf's nose. It spooked her a bit and make her shake the snow from her cold, charcoal nose.
"How are you doing, this morning?" She asked more contently, swishing her tail along the snowy ground as her eyes soon gazed from the other fae to the camp around them. It certainly didn't seem too busy at the moment, but Evelyn enjoyed it. She soon looked to the commanding hunter's den and spoke rather to herself, though it could be heard by Ferah most likely. "...I wonder when Ryker will awake..." Evelyn always felt comforted around the brute, in fact, he allowed her to call him by his actual name. She did prefer it better than having to say 'commander ryker' all the time and considered him a good friend of hers as well.

Zethian listened as the Alpha fae spoke, although practically ignored her teasing. It certainly didn't seem worth snapping at the fae, for it would only do more trouble. With Shadow Peak Wolves just around the corner, something was bound to go wrong. Although, he didn't understand why she'd want to split the guards up, that'll cause us even more danger? No, he couldn't question what Scarlet had spoken, he wouldn't dare. "Have a nice morning, Scarlet," Zethian huffed in a rather respectful way, being the first to pass by her to reach the entrance. His expression was rather plain, although he still held his head high, not looking back. "Are you coming, Olympia?" His gaze softened when he spoke to the fae, getting prepared to leave.

Ferah sighed when Evelyn said that she wasn't feeling well. She knew it wasn't only about the cold, but the fayel didn't want to push her. She'd tell her if she wanted. "As always," Answered the fae. "Avoiding trouble," She added. By 'trouble' Ferah meant males. Most of them were pushing the fayel or bossing her around, so she prefered staying out of their way. "I hope it will change someday," She inhaled the cold air through her nose. Ferah tilted her head and looked in the same direction as her friend. "I've got no idea. You like him, don't you?" Asked the fayel, letting out a slight smile.

❰ ryker grey of shadow peak ❱─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────commanding hunter // burning pine wood // voice of j. ackles // tagged;; camp, n/aThe gray and white brute didn't prod his mate any further, since she probably slept late or just needed more sleep. Ryker got up on his fours and licked off whatever moss he could from the nest to make him at least presentable. Today was a new day, and he'd have to put up a mask again, what every wolf, including the most important and the hunters below him, to see a cold, unfazed expression. The canine lifted his tail to see if he was all clean and then he stretched a bit to get the blood flowing through his veins. He sighed deeply and then put it on, the face. Ryker padded outside with his held high, but not too high, and he walked as if he had purpose to do something, which he didn't. The male often avoided eating in the mornings unless he was extremely hungry, or really needed the strength, but that never looked good for "Commander Grey". He liked his title, and he honestly thought it sounded good, but whenever anyone called him "Ryker", he knew he could be himself and not have to shove down the stress and feelings that always shadowed him.
Ryker gained reality again when he accidentally stepped into a pile of snow, the cold material numbing his paw, and he quickly stepped back and snorted out of displeasure. As a young one he would've taken this moment to play around in it, but alas, he never really had a pup-hood. Most of the camp was already up, so he thought it would make sense if he announced the hunting trip soon, but no later than before sunhigh, when the sun was up at its peak in the sky. It was cold out, and continuously hunting in the cold environment was bad, even if the wolves were built for it. During sunhigh and past, it was a bit warmer, and any non-hibernating prey would be tempted to enjoy the less freezing weather, even if that was solely just sunrays and not much else. Snow wouldn't be melting anytime soon.

MARCIELLA // shadow peak fayel
{female - five years - scent of pumpkin spice and autumn leaves - voice of an italian accent}
Hearing the she-wolf's playfully teasing tone, Marcy couldn't help but give a slight smile herself, replaying what had happened in her mind from the snowy fayel's point of view. Considering all of the things there were to be afraid of here, and adding Marciella's usually stoic nature to the mix, it was rather amusing to see her jump out of her skin over something so small. She faintly chuckled. Her smile faded however when Lunae went on to say the weather could be worse, making the five year old gaze out in the distance at the snowy landscape, her head slowly nodding. "Si, that is true." Though she'd never experienced any herself, she had heard tales of horrible disasters, such as blizzards, tornados, great floods... All kinds of weather related things that could engulf the land and bring down utter chaos, destroying everything and everyone in their wake. The mere thought made her shiver, the icy breeze and snow under her rump seeming to grow colder. Yes, it could be a lot worse indeed.
After this, there was a brief moment of silence in the conversation, but Marciella didn't mind. She took this time to just look around, get her herrings as to what everyone was doing. More fayels had left the den, and the higher ranks were conversing, most likely about things the fayels weren't allowed to do. She sighed some, uncertain on how to feel about any of this. She felt it was wrong to withhold duties from she-wolves that wanted to do so much more than sit on their rumps, occasionally help with hunts, and raise pups. It seemed oppressive, restricting, unfair. Of course, she herself didn't have much desire to do these things, but she suspected the other females were tired of the drab lifestyle. She could see it in their eyes- that tired, yearning look. And then mating season was coming around, meaning the pairing ceremony would take place soon. She curled her lip in disgust, having always hated that dreaded ritual. She didn't know what was worse- female's getting chosen like kill from the prey pile, or children being brought into this lifestyle. This is how it's always been... She thought, trying to fight her disdain. It's not going to change. Just accept it. Don't make the foolish mistakes she did... Another shudder passed through her as memories of the female came to mind.
This female had been her mother, Vincenza; a bold, fiery young Alfero that had joined Shadow Peak pregnant. She'd been forced out of her old home by an onslaught, supposedly by a group of rogues that wanted to take over her family's territory for themselves. Vincenza hardly escaped with her life, and her mate was killed in the attack. When she found Shadow Peak, she joined quickly, but didn't realize the lifestyle she'd have to live. She saw how females were treated and tried to speak out against it several times, but was put back in her place by the higher ranks each time. Even after her two pups were born, she continued to rebel. It eventually cost the she-wolf her life, and Marciella had watched her mother get killed right before her eyes. It hadn't neccesarilly been intentional, but her injuries had ended up being fatal; she bled out. From that day onward, the young Marcy vowed to not make her mother's mistakes, to never speak out against the order. Just fall in line, play your part, and you will live the best life a fayel can.
Lunae's voice reached her ears, snapping the five year old out of it. She perked her ears and arched her brows, showing she was listening. Her fellow fayel seemed to be questioning why neither pack had healers, which was an interesting enough question. It made her look at the horizon again, the rising sun reflecting in her narrowed brown eyes and highlighting each hair on the front of her body in gold. She knew nothing of Eternal Ridge aside from a little general knowledge on how the hierarchy worked; whether or not they even had healers was beyond her, let alone why they would or wouldn't. As for this pack, all she knew was that the term healer had hardly ever been muttered. She reflected on what she knew of Shadow Peak and it's ideals, going back to Marc's rein, which left a bitter taste in her mouth. They recently lost their Alpha Male, and though she'd never felt anything towards him over than require respect, his death still left her in a shocked, empty state, like the others. She didn't want to linger on that.
"I can't say anything about Eternal Ridge, and as for us, I can only speculate..." She lowered her voice some, not wanting the higher ranks to over hear. "It might be a way of keeping everyone in line. By not having a healer, it shows there won't be anyone to pick you up if you fall down. Therefore, don't fall down." It was a dark thought, to think the leaders of Shadow Peak expected perfection from their members, and anything less wasn't worthy of healing, so she followed up with something a little less controlling, a sigh and casual tone coming to her voice. "Or maybe the leaders that established these rules thought it was a waste of a rank. They didn't want females doing anything period, and they'd much rather have the males doing things like hunting and fighting, not playing with herbs."

✶ KATERINKA of SHADOW PEAK !▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂( voice ) élodie yung xxx ( scent ) french lavender and fresh strawberries xxx ( ranking ) first alpha female [ TAGGED ] ALCANDER [ MENTIONS ] FAYELS OF SHADOW PEAK, ETERNAL RIDGE
chills ran down her spine, causing her tail to twitch for a second as the brute came out to greet her. '... nice to finally see you.' katerinka knew exactly what the purpose was behind this. "thank you." the she wolf simply replies, her dark eyes avoiding looking at alcander for a moment. just his scent piercing her senses were enough to make her uncomfortable, but looking at the brute was something she couldn't handle yet. the male that her husband late husband once called a friend was now her mate. the beta that was entrusted to protect her love and the leader was the one who was beside him when marc failed, leading to his ultimate death.
katerinka knew that it was wrong to be angry at alcander since it was the doing of the eternal ridge wolves, but she just couldn't let it go. over the past three times while she wept herself to sleep, alcander seemed... happier? it was as if he was basking in the death of her husband late husband and to katerinka, it just seemed disrespectful to her eyes. she knew that it was the shadow peak way to be strong and males could not show any sign of weakness, but the actions of alcander just seemed to peculiar to her. after marc's death was announced, things didn't become quiet or slowed down, alcander just made rules more strict and the brutes seemed to be more aggressive in katerinka's eyes and she feared not only for herself, but the fayels and the first beta female. now that leadership has changed, what was the females' positions in the pack. will they be more oppressed? marc never harmed the shadow peak tradition, but when it came to the females' lives, he did his best to make it better by postponing the annual pairing.
but things were different now. the pack was different now. there was no peace to be made and the only thing that would come was more blood and katerinka wanted to know who's blood would be spilled and important if it would be their blood again. coming back from her thoughts, katerinka looked at the down at the snowy ground. "i do apologise for taking so long to come and speak with you, but i am here now. may i come in so we could speak in peace?" she spoke politely with a gentle tone, not wanting to stir any aggravation or anger from him.
✶ MALAKHAI of SHADOW PEAK !▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂( voice ) taron egerton xxx ( scent ) cold spearmint and slowly aged bourbon xxx ( ranking ) hunter [ TAGGED ] ORION, CALLIOPE [ MENTIONS ] ALCANDER, AMADEUS, FAYELS, ASTRA, VENUS
the scent of fresh grass and lavender made it an entrance enough and the brute stepped to the side as orion's wife came into view. "commanding fae calliope, have a good morning stroll?" the brute politely asked the she wolf, wanting to be respectful of his superior's spouse. malakhai sat in silence as orion and calliope spoke, not wanting to intrude or seem disrespectful in anyway. in situations like these, malakhai often wondered who he would choose as a mate. malakhai certainly was not the harshest brute in the shadow peaks being that his dark pelt often made him feel different or not enough to his lighter packmates and his snow white cousin. the lighter the coat, the more attractive you would be in the north, and his coat, well it certainly isn't fair like the winter ground.
as the brute finished speaking, malakhai nodded in agreement and waited for orion to finish his conversation with calliope. the brute looked back at camp; his eyes particularly watching the fayels for a moment before commander amadeus made his way into camp. "commander orion, should we ask if commander amadeus would like to join for patrol? seeing that be- alpha-" malakhai paused for a moment, alcander's new title was a little hard to get used to, "apologies sir, i meant alpha alcander, is busy at the moment. with all due respect, it could give us more security if any eternals overstep the line." malakhai said, hoping that it didn't sound insulting to his commander. with times like these, malakhai just didn't more anymore of their blood spilled and seeing katerinka so devastated after marc's death, he didn't wish the same for astra, venus, or calliope.
✶ ALASTAIRE of ETERNAL RIDGE !▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂( voice ) allen leech xxx ( scent ) burnt bergamot and white tea xxx ( ranking ) commanding hunter [ TAGGED ] SCARLET, HUNTERS [ MENTIONS ] GUARDS, CONSTANDINE
for a pack like eternal ridge known for being kinder than the shadow peak wolves, their alpha did not seem to be the kindest or most tolerable. alastaire didn't speak against her words or fire back at her rude greeting due to their ranking, but the brute had to grit his teeth for a moment. "yes, alpha scarlet." alastaire simply replied to the she wolf before making his way towards the hunter's den. he slowed his pace for a moment, seeing scarlet go near the guards. her voice wasn't the quietest either and the brute could hear her complaints to the guards, most specifically constandine. a slow and whisper-like growl left his maw, the brute feeling anger for the alpha's actions.
the commanding hunter and the commanding guard were usually almost good friends and that's what alastaire considered constandine. the she wolf understood the weight of their rankings and she understood how irritating "commander" could be when times were hard like these. shaking his head, the brute reported in front of the hunters' den and cleared his throat loudly. "morning." he said as he went inside. "everyone up, we have strict orders from our alpha." the brute said roughly.
✶ OLYMPIA of ETERNAL RIDGE !▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂( voice ) olga fonda xxx ( scent ) black currant and watered peonies xxx ( ranking ) guard [ TAGGED ] GUARDS, CONSTANDINE, SCARLET [ MENTIONS ] NOBODY
the she wolf looked at yaksha and shook her head in response. the male guards were always kind, but olympia just didn't trust them enough since she didn't know them. the she wolf looked down at skyedancer for a moment, seeing the fae stirred as she awoken. olympia's head slightly tilted, concerning worry desperately showing within her eyes until skyedancer played it off. "don't go on me now, skye, i need you." olympia said, giving her friend a kind smile. as constandine came into the den, the she wolf bowed her head out of respect for her superior. "good morning, commander constandine. i hope you slept well." olympia politely greeted the fae. a small and quiet giggle coming from her after skyedancer's humourous comment.
the she wolf finally gave yaksha a small smile when he spoke once again. "i'll keep that in mind." she said kindly. her head nodded once constandine finished speaking and turn turned to the entrance once again. olympia kept her head down as the alpha began to tell the guards and constandine of their incompetence and kept it down until she was finished. the she wolf made her way out of the den afterwards, stopping where constandine stood for a moment. "be careful miss." the guard addressed before going out with her partner. "yes, i'm sorry about that." olympia apologised. "how did you sleep last night?"

Shadow's Commanding Guard | Four Years Seven Months | Husband of Calliope | Slight crush on Caitriona
Tagged;; Malakhai, Calliope
{Orion noticed that Calliope seemed quite nervous for something, though his attitude didn't really alter too much, he simply turned his attention to her for a while longer and observed her actions. His attention was about to flicker back to the job when he heard her whisper his name, and he regarded her again. When she asked the question, he actually felt quite... startled, though the only way he changed on the outside was that his gaze went down to the snow beneath rather than at the fae herself. Then, he felt a lot of confusion run through him as blank questions began to fill his mind. Discuss? Discuss what? his mind asked. Finally he looked back at his spouse, forcing any emotion back before he spoke. "Of course," he replied smoothly as if her question did not phase him one bit. Again, his mind started running through possible scenarios of what the talk could involve, though he himself did not know why he was worrying at all. He was a commander, he was used to formal meetings and discussions - perhaps it was because he did not need to be formal with Calliope, and it would be just the two of them. That, and usually they were carried out in a brute-only zone, this would be a totally different atmosphere.
He regained some control over his concealed suppressed thoughts and emotions as his mind remembered the other matter - in his eyes, the one of more importance. Orion turned to face Malakhai, with a slight apologetic expression for getting distracted at all. Thankfully, he noticed that the other brute didn't seem to mind all that much as he was observing the pack - the fayels, he noted, and inside he secretly gave a knowing chuckle, guessing what was on the brute's mind. As he also focused back and asked about commander Ryker joining them, Orion considered the suggestion for a moment. It would offer them a greater sense of protection, however at the same time the commander would probably be gathering his own brutes up for a morning hunt unless he wanted trouble with alpha Alcander. He enjoyed the brutes company, and that lead him to go with the safer option for the other and let him be. "No, I think that we should be just fine and he may have his own tasks to get on with," he explained, not sounding angry or rude. "The eternals would not dare do anything so soon after the tragedy, they are weakened right now and were always the smaller pack. The only reason they caused damage last time was due to the fact it was more of a war, and involved more than a few of the guards," he continued. It was what he liked to convince himself of anyway, a theory to make himself feel at least slight less guilt. It was true, the wolves from other ranks had been in the battle from both sides. It wouldn't have even mattered all that much if the wolf that was lost wasn't their precious Alpha, and the replacement wasn't a brute so cruel as Alcander. "We should be just fine going around the borders together."

{Skye narrowed her eyes playfully as she wrestled back a light-hearted smirk from spreading across her face as the felt Yaksha's shoulder gently nudge her. Whilst she enjoyed goofing around with the others, she knew that it wasn't acceptable when in the presence of superiors with potentially important matters to discuss. Suddenly, the whole atmosphere changed from the first note of the Alpha's words, and Skye had to admit she thought she heard her heart thump against her ribcage. The intensity increased when she actually turned her head to look at the fae and caught glimpse of her fearsome glare. She knew that she was guilty of messing about before, however she and the others quit it as soon as a job appeared, so her accusation was already not accurate. It did not stop there, though, as Scarlet then continued on to saying how Constandine was involved. That was not true at all - the commanding fae had come to wake them and was about to give them orders. Even though none of Scarlet's comments singled her out, it did irk her as it was unfair towards the others, especially the poor commander. She felt a snarl want to escape to her jaws, but she fought the urge back with all her might. She could do this all she wanted with the others and maybe get away with a harsh warning at best, but the Alpha was not to be disrespected or challenged. Especially in this mood.
The she wolf's attention flickered over to Constandine as she began to defend herself, and her jaw did hang slightly in surprise. She knew that the commander was no push around, but Skye didn't even expect her to stand up to the Alpha like that. Then again, Scarlet did go too far with setting her apart, therefore Skye wasn't mad about it, more... proud. At least one of them could approach the matter in such a passive-aggressive manner, enough to get her point across but perhaps not enough to aggravate the inferior wolf too much. Straight after that, she left them to depart and get on with the task.
Skye had rose to a stand at the same time as Constandine, even before she told them to go, as the tension was unbearable. Once she saw that the fae had began leaving, she looked over to her appointed work partner and sighed. There was no trace remaining of the comical atmosphere that was there earlier, and rather a 'get on with the job' strain. Before she moved further, she stole a quick glance in Zethian's direction, her mind wandering to the endless, and most likely irrelevant, possibilities as to why she wasn't partnered up with him. Of course Scarlet most likely chose randomly, probably because she and Yaksha were sitting next to each other, but her dreamer mind often liked to overthink small details such as that one. She shook her head, hoping she didn't look for long enough to make anyone question her. With a small huff, she turned her body around to face towards the southern part of the territory. As she made a move forward, her tail briefly ran from Yaksha's nose across to his shoulder. "Let's go, you dangerous brute," she said, sarcastically referring to earlier's conversation. "Or Constandine will have you in her den for a not-so pleasant reason." However, no matter how much her words were all meant to be jokes, she couldn't manage to make her voice sound teasing or any less shaken than she was.
