~ Aithne ~
Aithne was swift and nimble on her feet, avoiding tree roots and rocks in her path. But she was also quiet and nearly soundless as they advanced in the Tutuwuan. She kept her head held high as her long fiery hair flowed out behind her. She felt almost more alive while they raced through the jungle, more free on the jungle's damp ground. Her eyes flitted everywhere and she seemed to get distracted as she took in the various sights of the vast jungle, but she was brought back to her senses once her eyes fixed on the giant fallen tree.
Aithne slowly began to regain focus on the task on hand. She was not here to look at the pretty scenery, she was here to hunt for a male. With this thought fresh in her mind, she looked straight ahead with a determined look on her face. She was not about to lose focus so early in the start. She leaped into the air as they approached the fallen log that blocked their path and sailed over it with slight ease, but it was hardly a graceful jump. For a tense moment Aithne wobbled slightly on her legs as she landed on the other side of the tree, not wanting to fall face first into the mud below.
Once she gained balance, Aithne bent down for a second to smear mud onto her pale skin, for camouflage she thought. She followed her fellow sisters, trusting Sophie's tracking skills to get them on a lead to the males. They came upon a camp it seemed, but there where no males to be found there. Her eyes scanned the area, it seemed as the males had known they were coming, but it was at least a start on their whereabouts. Sophie announced that they must take separate paths, and at this Aithne became excited, but also slightly nervous at the same time. But she thought she was as ready as she'll ever be, and it was meant to be this way anyways. She dashed off in an opposite direction of her fellow hunt members, awaiting whatever she might come across.
A glimmer of gold flashed in the corner of Aithne's bright hazel eyes and it immediately caught her attention. She veered slightly off her original path to find out what that curious thing was, maybe something exciting Aithne thought optimistically in her head. She approached cautiously ahead though, just to make sure she didn't startle anything. She made quick, light steps through vines and plants until she spotted a rather pale looking male carrying a golden fish [Kihao]. "So that's where the gold glimmer came from, of course!" Aithne thought to herself. She sneaked a little closer to watch him for a bit and a small smile appeared in her face for a moment, but it faded away quickly.
~ Silas ~
Silas stood stock-still for a moment, he thought he could hear the sound of footsteps nearby. His eyes widened a bit, and he realized what that sound was, it was the sound of females' footsteps closing in on the main camp. He stood frozen like a frightened Tunk deer for a moment until his senses finally came back to him and he began to run in to opposite direction. He sighed a bit to himself as he ran, he had made the wrong choice once again. Surely they would have heard him race off as far away as possible from the others. He knew there was no escaping the women he feared so greatly, but he would probably try to avoid them as long as he could.
"Are they following me? Have they even reached camp yet? Have they gone after any of us yet?" All these thoughts rushed in Silas' head as he raced off, clutching his knife close to him. He slowed down a bit though, knowing it was useless to run so fast and waste so much energy running from something he couldn't escape, his fate. He eventually slowed down to a walk, panting ever so slightly from sprinting into the jungle. He found himself near a fast-paced river that was known to wind all throughout the Tutuwuan. He found a large, wet rock sticking out in the middle of the river, and he plunged into the warm waters. He swam over to the rock, maybe it would be an okay place to rest for a while. He climbed onto its rough, grey surface and was careful not to slip on the wet stone. Finally, he sighed with relief as he perched on top of the great rock, he had a somewhat high vantage point as well. Silas tried to wipe off some of the brackish water from his freckled face, but it didn't do much good.
