Duce shifted his weight a bit, the mossy rocks turning white yet again. Shaking his head, he swallowed his memories back down and started his climb to the top. Paws shaking, Duce tried not to let it get to him. As soon as he got to the top, he laid down next to Dust like nothing had bothered him. "Well.. Home was a lot colder then this.. Snow nearly all year long. I was the alpha of a pack there.. The strongest and most feared pack known to the land." He shared, tail curling tightly around his paws. Sitting up, he looked at Dust, his eyes sparkling with memories. He didn't know why he was sharing his past with a stranger, but this was the time to show her who the real him was. "There was a pack next to us that we hated. We constantly fought for food, territory and members. But there was an avalanche... IT crushed nearly half by pack and destroyed our home.. So we fled... And our rival took us in with open arms." He shrugged. His ears went pack, pressing themselves against his skull as distant barks and howls of pain and sorrow echoed through his head. They never left him, even years after the avalanche. Everyone he lost still stuck with him like a burden.

She looked down to him with sorrow filled eyes. "I can tell you needed to get that out of you.." She layed down neck to him and nuzzled him to comfort him. "You poor thing, you've been through so much.." She reassured him, "I don't understand what it's like to be in a situation like that but Duce, I'm your friend, and you can trust me with anything." She spoke with truth in her voice. "But.. I am sorry you had to describe those horrible memories for me.." She sighed.

Teh brute cleared his throat, feeling her nuzzle him. It felt nice to have some one care about him again. He'd spent so much time alone he forgot what it felt to be cared for. "No.. it's okay. Being an alpha you learn to live with burdens like those.. they don't bother me all that much anymore." He said, trying to act tough and not show much weakness. "But.. thank you."

She smiled. "Anytime." She layed her head on his. "And y'know, I've seen a lot of wolves like you, so trust me, even if your a big strong male, you can still cry. Don't hold emotions in." She whispered. "I learned that the hard way."

Shifting his back legs out from under him, he let Dust rest her head on his. "I can't let me emotions out, it gives people something to use against you." He explained, tail sweeping across the ground. "I learned that the hard way too.. But anyway... what about your past?"

She muttered. "I guess I'm thankful cause mine is pretty boring if ya ask me." She raised her head and cleared her throat. "It all started when I was born, I was the last of my parents pups. I lived in Mexico at this time. Anyway heck I had so many siblings I couldn't even count them when I was little. Anyway growing up blah blah blah, when I was finally a mature wolf me and my parents were the only ones left in our 'pack'. All my siblings right now are probably just running around in Mexico. The only reason I left is to find some of them. But ah.. I'm not a good tracker. So here I am, in America. I have a feeling I brought disappointment to my parents, they really did wanna see my siblings grown up.. Heck, now they can't even see me grown up." She shook her head in shame. "It's a disgrace honestly."

He quietly listened to her, but he slowly lost interest in what she was saying. But he didn't let it show, he simply remained silent in his own world. Once she stopped he didn't say anything for a bit. "Huh? Oh.. I'm sorry.. I'm sure it's not a disgrace" He said, unsure of what she meant by "it's a disgrace" But he played it off as if he knew. It was a bad habit of his to ignore things he didn't think were interesting. He was the alpha of a ruthless pack, doing what ever he wanted. Duce awkwardly looked to the side, feeling slightly guilty for not listening.

She sighed once she realized he wasn't listening. She pretended not to know. "Yes it is, my mother and father were counting on me to find my siblings.." She looked to the ground. "I failed them."

"well wolves don't always satay together.. I wouldn't feel too terribly bad about it." he said, tail flicking. "So you were part of a pack then too huh?" He asked, trying to talk about something he was more relate able to.
