I want to get a cat, my parents think i'm responsible enough, but they want some reasons we should actually get one, so, if anyone could provide cool facts for me? Or anything of the sort, it would be very helpful, thanks!

SOME COOL CAT FACTS:
-cats do not have bones. none at all.
-people have reported a 30% increase in psychic energy while around a cat
-there is an old myth that cats will steal the breath from a baby's lungs, that's wrong! The only steal their fingernails
-after I got a cat I started seeing these weird fleshy orbs floating around my house that glow and pulse whenever i'm near! I don't know what it means but I get severe headaches every day now!
-I can hear my cat under my bed right now as I type this! he's gurgling very loud, so he's probably very happy! I love my cat!
-man, does anybody else smell rotten meat?

First off, although I LOVE fluffy cats sometimes the fur gets very annoying and I suggest getting a shorthaired cat. ANYWAYS, why should you get a cat? They are MUCH easier to care for than dogs. For example, when I go with my parents to the cities for a night all my cats needs is a bowl of food, water, and a litter box! They will be fine when we get back home. Also you should get a breed of cat that likes to be around people, no one wants a mean Ol' kitty! REASON WHY, if you want a trusty companion that you can talk to and they will love you then a cat is perfect for you! Another reason I vote cats over dogs, dogs are known to be a bit agressive and since their teeth are sharper and so are their claws .Shudders. they can be more violent. Sure, cats scratch, BUT you can get them declawed! So those are my reasons!
Have a pawsome day!
