She bowed her head in thanks. "That is very kind of you, Nick. If your prey ever crosses into my territory, don't worry about following it in." She stood up, with a wink. "And if you ever want to find me, follow this track south, my den will be there" She wagged her tail. "Now, Nick, if you'll excuse me, I must hunt before I faint from the hunger" She smiled to the brute, then turned to trot away.

Dust woke up from her afternoon nap. "Ah great, now it's evening." She muttered. The rainy weather has continued and rain pelted her fur. She shivered as she propped herself up. "Well, I'll go see if anyone is at the river I guess.." She followed her usual path to the river.

Duce was already beside the river where most wolves met. He didn't know why he was there. Well that was a lie, he did know why he was there. He wanted to talk to someone, but there wasn't a chance he would ever admit that to anyone. there were times he had a hard time admitting that to himself. Dipping one paw on the water, then the other, he stood in the nice cool water, looking through it to see if there was anything of interest. But his attention was soon pulled away from the water when he heard some rustling coming not far off. His ears instantly went back and he watched carefully. "Who's there?" He barked cautiously.

Dust approached out of the bushes to see the male red wolf. She perked her ears. Someone is actually here?.. She thought. "Heya. I'm Dust." She dipped her head in the river and drank some of the sweet cold water. Lifting her head she said, "Don't worry about me," she smirked, "I don't do harm to other wolves unless I need to." She sat wrapping her tail around her paws, looking at the male.

Seeing a female wolf appear and quite confidently take a drink from the river, Duce was taken aback. They were loners, yes? Dangerous, ya? Well ,this didn't phase the wolf. Duce stepped out of the river and watched Dust closely, he saw no harm in talking to her. "I'm Duce. Are you a lone wolf?" He asked, leaving no time for small talk.

He snorted at her sarcasm, sititng down on his rump. "well.. where i came from there were packs all over the place. and I've only just come here so I wouldn't know." duce shrugged and let out a sigh. "So no packs huh?.. how many other loners are there?" He asked curiously, wondering who he'd have to fight if necessary.
