My first sona was a demon wolf named Laheelee. She was created around when I was nine.


Then I went from Laheelee to Doomy, the weird rainbow sparkledog. This was at twelvish.
I never actually drew her.

Then, at thirteen, I switched my fursona to Suna, the Pampas fox.


Halfway through the year, I decided canines weren't really the right animal to fit my personality.
Soooo....I changed my fursona again to Arxion, the long-tailed caracal.

Reading about how all of your fursonas have changed is really interesting. o3o

I might as well jump on the bandwagon~ X3

So, I think my fursona has pretty much always been called Duckie. Or at least, I don't remember ever changing that. But her appearance changed a lot..

The first ever picture of her. A weird-looking thing with a plug for a tail. Of course. x_x

She then evolved some to be more based on a rat, as pictured here and here. She still had those spikes though, but I was too lazy to draw them so decided they could appear and disappear at will or something.

Her markings then changed a bit, the mark on her thigh area being blue and shaped like a rat - picture.

Patches were then added to her tail and ears, the tip of her tail being blue - 1 2 (the spikes were still optional at this point)

She stayed like this for a while, the species being refined to a fancy rat/hedgehog hybrid. But then I decided to change the species, or rather, be more specific. I also wanted to have a more natural design. So she was changed to a Gambian Pouched Rat/Pygmy Hedgehog hybrid (Hence my username!)
So I came up with a reference for that- here. And another example.
While she was like this, I also received the most beautiful art of her, from Spotty, in a secret santa. Click.

After this, I went through a few drastic changes in her. I had an interest in snakes, and so she was changed to a Garter Snake. Link.

However, this too was changed, this time to a Lemming, as pictured here and here. She also had a winter coat of white, but this was never drawn.

Finally, I decided that the Lemming fursona did not fit so well, but at the same time did not want to let go of it. So, I decided to make an "alt-fursona" of the lemming, which, to me, means that Duckie will occasionally be drawn as a lemming, but is still the same Duckie. If that makes sense.
So, her current design, is one that I had a while ago, slightly altered. The Gambian Pouched Rat/Pygmy Hedgehog hybrid - Minus the hedgehog. So, just the Gambian Pouched Rat. I feel that she fits me quite well, as she did before, and it was just the hedgehog that was making me feel otherwise.

I think she'll stay like this for a while. (Yeah yeah, that's what I said about the other looks, I know. XD)


TL;DR- She went through many small changes and a couple of big ones, but reverted back to the small-change-form. I've never changed WHO she is, as her personality is, well, me, considering she is but a mask.
I think that no matter where you start, if you keep adjusting and tweaking your fursona's design, you will eventually come to a point where you are happy with it.

After a little while with her, I noticed I really never felt a connection with her design not the species.
And so I became a fox.

I was a marbled silver fox for a few months, during the hardest part of my years. She was really more feral than anthromorphic, but she was boudn and tied the same was I was. Seen here: http://i54.tinypic.com/33cmahc.jpg (Not the cat)

Then most recently, I started to look more into the furry fandom and saw it in myself, an anthro morphic animal. I switched the design to a natural silver fox, no marble, and made her anthro.

I had tons.
Saffie- A purple and orange raccoon with too many sparkle markings x.e good ol' 13yr old me.
Sapphire the red/bright blue kitsune. Now a silver kitsune and a HP fan charrie.
Kitty Spider, likely a result of Spiderleg fangirling. She was dark brown with light brown leg stripes and a spider markin on her back. Abandoned a week later. (I have archnophobia)
Plasmic, an awesome sparklefox. Still a character, but I've grown too attactched to get rid of her<3
Astrid, the Minature Pinscher :3
Annnddd I'm converting to a VULTURE now. With Astrids general markings. (tail stripes<3) Might give her a name change, though.

I have had several fursonas.
My first was Tigerlilly. X I was about 11 then.
Next came Luna. X. She came about 3 months after Tigerlilly.
The next few came about 1 month apart. (I could not decide so I switched around alot XD)

Finally, sometime last year I thought I had decided on a fursona. But I went through 3 more:

Only 3..Well i've changed only in this past year..From the immature crazy girl I was to now being the more mature one I am now..

I was first a sparkle-doggy named Starry-Thunder, but I grew more towards Starry..

And then I changed a bit, a while before I got called names and stuff like that..There's a whole back story, but you don't want to know that..And then I was Sapphire, the maned wolf/ timber wolf mix.

I still consider her very much a part of me, I still love her, but I don't usually draw her much, she reminds me of everything that happened to me..

And now i'm the Wolfaroo I am today! IzzyBee is actually one of my really common nick names that I recently got really attached to..Wolfaroo is just my way of calling myself a Red Kangaroo/ Timber Wolf mix, I love my mix, just because I'm so fluffy and cuddly..But I have a lot of meaningful though put into her design and species, my mental state and emotional state has a lot to do with it..

There are some nice linearts here, but since there's only three or four, there isn't much variety in species (though I think that can be partially solved by editing). They're very cute though, and a good starting point for getting fur pattern ideas down. ^^

And once again I must say that seeing the evolution of people's fursonas is really interesting! <33 It just goes to show how much people can change in short spaces of time, eh?

Yeah there are a lot on DeviantArt, pardon my spelling..But I've gotten some there, and in the Editable section of Oekaki..

And yeah 3 changes for me in less than a year..Just 4 months made me changed to what i've settled on now, yeah 4 months..Short..
