Is it possible to reach the banner limit and still not come up to a bamster?

Yes it is. I've reached the limit and did not get a hamster, but the reason for that is quite simple (so don't panic!) - I hit the limit less than an hour? after the hamster was released xD
I simply didn't get to click enough banners to have a big chance. But people who can stil find a good number of banners will have a fair chance I'm sure!
