Has anyone reached the banner limit? Anyone here know? :c

Jep! It's 240 c:

How do you know the banner limit? And how can you check the amount you have gotten already?

Unfortunately the summer event does not have a banner counter like Easter and Halloween do, so you have to count manually if you wish to know.
I calculated my banner count by looking how many banner items are in my inventory, and how many I traded to the NPCs.
I didn't trade tokens to other players (or got any from them), so it was easy for me.

I don't think so? My first 4 trades ended up being one of each, but I wanted to check, so traded in 3 more and got 2 of the purple and one of the ones with green.

I think it was mostly about examples like the event NPCs, who do usually get referred to by specific pronouns (examples from this event being that Andromeda is referred to as she in text, and Az'it is explicitly given male pronouns), and that it could be interesting to mix this kind of stuff up a bit, too.

So it's less about the pets as a whole having to be gendered somehow, and more just "hey it'd be kinda awesome if we had an NPC that doesn't go by either he or she", which I think is a fair point^^

That's beautifully phrased, ZEL! I completely agree with you! (And I remember Archie, it gave me a happy, fuzzy feeling to see him!) I also agree with Teo1138, these kind of events are ideally suited to show some diversity.
