Space event machine parts??

I'm so confused. !!
Where do we get the machine parts that we need to trade at the research lab ??? I've looked everywhere I can think of.

Well to what I've kind of found out that if you go to the space lobby (can't remember what's it called) but it is the building in the middle of the map.

And then you'll see that he is asking for 2 flowers so you trade in your 2 flowers and you'll then receive machine parts.

Well that's what I've found out from playing.
