Anyone else's construction worker's skill go down?? My Constriction worker's skill was at 280 before I went to bed and it is at 101 .... ??

Kind of a newb question, but

How do you get 'proficiency' in a job, so to say? I've seen people around the site with improved stats like +# for (job here) on their villager profile, but I have no clue how to get it.

Yep ^^
And they extended the cap, it's now 60 explorations per hour.

    that's from the costumes tailors create. costumes are really expensive to buy from the stalls, since it takes so much time, effort, and it also uses your money if you buy things from stalls to speed the process up.
    tailors have to rely on crafters, who rely on warriors and explorers if you're going to make an outfit.

    whoa, 60 explorations? that's going to take a bit of getting used to. at least you can actually have 3 explorers doing work, though, which is a nice change.
