Check to see if java is still enabled and that you don't have any browser add-ons such as NoScript.

@ Everyone having tablet issues:
JTablet is for Java-based apps, which ChickenPaint is not. ChickenPaint is in Javascript, which is entirely, wholly and completely different from Java despite the similar names. JTablet's not going to fix anything in ChickenPaint. Pen pressure on ChickenPaint is entirely dependent on your browser and its ability to understand tablet functions.

Chrome is still working on getting tablet pen pressure working, last I heard. Right now, it's not really there, and it's why you guys are having issues -- but ChickenPaint does still open and work on Chrome, at least. Tablet compatibility should be coming in the future.
Same thing with Firefox, though it's got something like half-compatibility and doesn't always work, but it does, still, every now and then.

These things, we at CS cannot fix, other than ask you to try another browser or wait and be patient. We have no control over how browsers update, and we can't force each and every browser to understand each and every tablet... that's a whole lot of difficult programming and it's best to let the browser makers themselves finish the coding and release it legitimately to ensure as much compatibility as possible.

im completely clueless if its just my computer or a bug that nobody seems to care about but whenever im drawing, tablet or not, occasionally it won't draw and instead drags a picture (with text on it? i forget what it says) its really annoying and inconvenient. is there anything i can do to make it not do that?

Are you sure you are on the drawing tool not the move tool? If not what kind of computer are you using? Is it a tablet or touchscreen computer?

Hmm strange. Honestly I'm not 100% sure but sometimes clearing your cache will help with display problems like this so that's worth a shot.

I thought I was going to eventually get used to this problem, but it's only getting more frustrating.

Sometimes, when I'm moving one of those little windows (such as Tool Options, Color, etc) it makes a line of whatever I have selected that goes in the path of where I dragged that window. The undo button usually gets rid of it, but a few times it didn't appear in the undo history at all and i had to redo whatever it went over. This has been happening with the pen, pencil, eraser, eyedropper, whichever tool and color I had selected...it's as if my click-and-drag is going through whatever window I'm dragging.

I use both Firefox and Chrome (depending on which computer I'm using) and this seems to happen with both browsers and both computers, whether I'm using the mouse or my drawing tablet. This is ChickenPaint, of course. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Okay, so i've been trying to get this to work since yesterday afternoon.
I'm trying to do some tryout breedings for a species; they said to make a cover by coloring in the main post, and then making our batches by coloring in the cover we made. Simple enough.
However, once I tried coloring in my cover, it told me 'failed to read layers' and won't let me in. I was planning on using sai for the breedings anyway, but the owner told me to make an egg layer on the oekaki for each breeding at the very least--and I can't do that with the layers failing.

I did research and apparently someone else had this problem and they needed Nick to flatten the layers, but that's virtually impossible, isn't it? I just want to fix this problem so I can try out. A lot more people on the same tryout have had the same issue. Please help!
please stop asking me to give you my viscets. thank you!

Nothing's impossible for Nick

You can send in a help ticket and ask if this issue will be fixed.

So I've come around through my research to find that Nick has moved the saved drawings to be selected once you choose the size of the canvas you want... But my problem is that I kind of need to upload a saved drawing under a particular topic. I've recently redone an adoptable of mine and was allowing users to transfer up to four horses each to the new version, since we're using the same lines and everything and basically just going for a fresh start, sans those four horses I promised everyone. I'm now realizing that I just may not be able to repost the old drawings under the new topic and might have to redo all of those designs... Eeek. Is it true that I'll never be able to repost those drawings under our new topic or is there a way to do this somehow? It used to be that I would just click on the color me in button on the topic I wanted and then upload a saved drawing from there, and it would show up under the topic I wanted it to, but I assume that if I post it under the "created pets" subforum, it'll just show up again under the old topic that it was originally created under. True, or am I misled?

I'm also a bit unsure about what happens if I save a new adoptable horse and then go back to post it and have to do so under the created pets subforum. That will show up under the new adoptable topic still, right? It won't just link back but not show up with the others or something? Not too keen on finding out the hard way ^^'
