Forgotten, unloved.

Golden sand brushed delicately , swirling temptingly
allure to the mysteries beneath , enticing for the seeker
Born here, in the dust, raised here, in the basking
and yet never conditioned to discern the truth
of obscured legend shifting scarcely current
remnants of a day many past and much forgotten

Agile as the grains that stab the wind,
hurried with the storm as it uncovers the ancients
Eager to expend its greed with the exposure of the natural world
that exposes lives of thousands former ,
less endowed to dwell among those shining seas

Poem:
Running down the road
the night wages on
A bullet dragon groans
as they rush towards dawn.

Their paws race the gravel
as they try and reach the sun
but the moon travels faster
and it seems the stars have won.

They stop, hope lost
as the darkness seems to grow
and soon they succumb
to the black void below

But when they awake
it's a sight to behold
the sun is looming over them
shining bright and bold.

And so, the race is on
the dream to touch the sun
to race torwards daylight
it's all in good fun.

But when the darkness falls
and all that was once is gone
The stars which watch her while she sleeps
until she can once again get up and run.
