- Among the masses of rubble and ruin of the overgrown city, a single untouched building stood. Inside, light from the morning sun trickled in through cracks and openings, cloaking the interior with an opaque yellow filter. Ronan stirred with a groan, blinking the blurriness from his tired eyes. He rose to make his way to the nearest opening in the room, stretching before allowing his eyes to gaze upon his domain. When his eyes regained their sight and his body shed its tired state, he turned. He made his way down what was left of the stairs, quietly stepping over rubble in an attempt to not wake any sleeping pack members. As Alpha, he'd made it a personal rule to be up at daybreak every day, but he didn't expect his pack members to be up until later in the morning.

- Ramona awoke shortly after sunrise, grimacing at the light of the sun. She abhorred the sun and the heat it emitted, which was exactly why she holed up in a quaint collapsed structure by the water. It was slightly cooler there, and a little more reserved. She opened her eyes and yawned, tail flicking behind her. After a few morning stretches, she got up to observe her collection of herbs. She nudged things into place with her nose and made mental notes of what was low on stock; she was a fairly unorganized dog, but when it came to her herbs she was fussy. When she was satisfied, she emerged from her den and made her way to the nearest spot of shade.
