Nightshade-Windclan
She heard a voice asking what she was doing. It was some shecat, probably a queen, she seemed to be. "Just birds. Some box in a tree. Oh no-did I skip of the border?" She felt embarrassed, but still not sure.
"Wait-you mean you dont know what this is? Twolegs post them onto trees. If you manage to pry one open, itll have birds in it. It was just there-maybe theres not a lot of trees here, but I saw one near the border with one."

Sparxychu wrote:Boulderfang scented the air as they walked along. There was a faint smell of rain and dark clouds had begun to gather in the sky, but he was in no hurry to get back to camp. "I'd like to talk to you about something," he broke the silence at last, still on the lookout for prey.
Snakescar's heart skipped a beat, suspicions confirmed. He scented the air, trying to come of nonchalant. "All right, of course," Snakescar mewed calmly - if listening carefully, you could detect a slight shake in his voice - not facing the other tom.

(Alright, see you)
Reedfeather nodded in agreement. She dug up her vole and picked up that and her two minnows before wading back into the river. She was suddenly glad she hadn't caught anything else, for she was struggling enough as it was to carry three pieces of prey.
Boulderfang halted all of a sudden and raised his tail for silence. There was a slight scuffling sound not far off, accompanied by the scent of a squirrel. He crouched low to the ground and crept across the forest floor until he spotted the furry creature and pounced, killing it with a swift bite to the neck. It was almost as if the gray tom was deliberately taking his sweet time, trying to keep Snakescar in suspense, as he wiped the blood from his mouth and buried the squirrel. Finally, he spoke again, and wasted no time beating around the bush. "How do you feel about Spicepaw?"

"Nice catch," Snakescar complimented, before his eye narrowed at the question. "That's sort of an absurd inquiry," he responded evenly. "I've talked to her all of once, and I've only seen her around since the Clans came together. Why would I have any different feelings for her? She's merely the medicine cat of another Clan." It was all he could do to keep his voice calm. How had Boulderfang spotted it so easily?

"Medicine cat apprentice," Boulderfang corrected him. "And it's only an absurd inquiry if you don't know what I'm talking about. So tell me--do you?" He realized there was still a chance he was mistaken and had simply been reading too much into things, so he would listen to what Snakescar had to say and not jump to conclusions just yet. Still, he was a very observant cat and his hunches were usually right. Usually, but not always.

All righty! ^^)
Snakescar shook his head. "I'm not sure what you're insinuating," he rephrased more carefully. "I was merely talking to a cat, offering comforting words to ease her dear soul." He tipped his head, holding his gaze almost mockingly. "You seem to care a lot about her now, but what about in camp when she was obviously sad and needed a chat?"

(Okay :>)
Boulderfang held his one-eyed gaze unflinchingly, eyes narrowed. Now he was sure of his hunch. Snakescar had clearly been avoiding giving him a straight answer from the start, and he made himself out to be so innocent that all Boulderfang could see was a snide, pompous tom who feigned ignorance. Typical of a ShadowClan cat. "Don't make this about me, Snakescar," he warned calmly. He had taken a step toward the younger warrior and was now towering over him. "I appreciate that you reached out to her when she was in need. Really, I do. And I won't press you to tell me anything you don't want to. But if you truly care about her, you'll do what's best for both of you and keep your distance." Just then, the sky lit up with a flash of lightning and thunder rumbled overhead. "If you want to catch something before we head back, you'd better hurry up," he meowed, suggesting that the conversation was over.

Snakescar tipped his head. "Now, don't you think you sound slightly absurd? Insinuating I care about her?" Snakescar forced out a laugh. He padded off into the forest, acknowledging the fact that the tom was done with this conversation. He breathed in the scent of rain and scented the air.
