Tangleclaw frowned, his tail slowly whisking as he got to his paws, noticing that Dappledpelt was starting to grow tired; and he bounded up to the rock and leaped up beside the other tom. "Sounds reasonable." He meowex. "Are you okay..? You look a little tired."

Dappledpelt

"Ah," He was reluctant to leave. "I'm j-just cold." He excused, smoothing some of Tangleclaw's rogue fur with his tail. The tom lay down and tucked his paws under his chest.

Tangleclaw tilted his head to the left curiously as he watched the younger tom. "Are you sure?" He meowed, laying down beside him before he could stop himself, his tail swishing in the wind. "You can go back to your camp if you want." Or you could sleep here, He thought to himself, but kept those thoughts to himself. Of course he wouldn't want to sleep here; he was a cat from a rival clan, for StarClan's sake!

Dappledpelt

"O-of course I'm sure," He meowed and smiled, "I wouldn't w-want to leave y-you alone." his whiskers twitched. "I'll stay i-if you want me t-to."

Tangleclaw gave a small purr and closed his eyes. He hadn't felt this warm about another cat before; but he didn't know how that could really be possible. He was a tom, wasn't he...? And he was from another Clan; how would that work..? He closed his eyes and drank in his scent, giving a small yawn. "That's...sweet of you." He meowed tentatively.

Dappledpelt

Dappledpelt set a mental clock and waited for Tangleclaw to sleep. "Good night, Tangleclaw," He said and yawned.

Tangleclaw gave a small purr, deliriousness ripping away all boundaries of clan divisions, and closed his eyes, his pelt lightly brushing Dappledpelt's as he did so. "Good night, Dappledpelt." The words rolled easily off his tongue as he slipped into sleep.

Dappledpelt

Dappledpelt woke up. It was freezing, and still dark. The only thing keeping him from freezing solid was Tangleclaw. He stood up and shook frost from his fur, and brushed some off Tangleclaw with his tail. "Tangleclaw, wake up. It's time to go back to camp." He nudged the tom with his muzzle.

The grey tabby tom opened one eye and grunted; it took him a moment to gather where he was. The scents around him mingled together -- both his, and the rival clan's scent, and he realised where he was, and who he was with -- and how close to Dappledpelt he was sleeping. He nodded, pushing himself to his paws and looking at Dappledpelt with words stuck in his throat. He knew spending the night with a cat from the rival clan -- and a tom at that -- was wrong. Yet...

"Can I see you again?" He meowed, no will forcing him to stop. He shifted his paws, licking a couple of tufts of fur down on his chest, his heart thudding.

Dappledpelt was surprised. "Of course you can," He said, smiling. He didn't want to think about what he was doing wrong. Pushing it to the back of his mind, he asked, "When do you think is a good time?" He asked with interest.
