Specklepaw smiled at his enjoyment, as it made her happy he felt this way. She honestly wasn't sure how it was so funny but maybe if she pondered about it before she went to sleep or something, she would understand. She believed she could trust Splotchfur but since she had just started to get to know him, she wasn't sure yet. However the apprentice wasn't going to sweat it because it was the truth and she could handle a tongue lashing but it would have been worse if she lied. The speckled she-cat watched the warrior laugh in a interesting manner to her. It wasn't everyday you saw another cat cover their mouth when they laughed. Not like he had something stuck between his teeth or had bad breath but she wasn't going to question him. Everyone has their quirks and do things that suit themselves that made them their own cat. Life would be a lot more boring if everyone was the same and these quirks made other cats more interested or disgusted but in this case, Specklepaw was more interested. Maybe one day she would ask the tom about it but not today as it might be seemingly rude at the moment or make him feel self conscious, which would make her miss out on the real him. She liked to see the real things in others than just see fakeness and never truly get to know them.

Goosepaw went out to try to catch some prey. That cat at least taught her something. Sjr limped along muttering and bumped into a cat!

The loner felt the bump and presence of another cat and nearly jumped 2 feet! It scared her and made her fur spike out on end. Her nub of a tail sticking out like a stick and she immediately unsheathed her claws. Most likely looking more scary than she really was..

"You are such a joy Specklepaw. Oh how much fun it would be if you were my apprentice" he mused. He was really open once he had chatted or even laughed for a while. It calmed his nerves and actually made him melt in with his surroundings and get along with his clan mates.

He looked at Hawkpaw with big eyes and seemed to think a minute. "Well I am terrible at swiping and stealth..." He said hoping that might narrow down some moves.

Specklepaw wasn't used to so many compliments and nice things at once. In a way, she enjoyed it but everyone does. "I think you'd see me more as a kink in the tail then joy if I was. Especially if it came to battle training or swimming. You can be friends with your mentor but it gets more serious and it's not quite the same. If you were just a friend then those serious moments don't really happen and it's more fun and carefree." The she-cat said and turned her gaze up to the sky for a few moments before returning her yellow eyes to Splotchfur. Honestly though, Specklepaw didn't think she a joy or her father would probably still be around and so would her family. Maybe it was bad thinking but it's just how she was, which was natural for anyone.

"Okay, I'll remember that. However I have no idea how you would make those things fun. But the day you do, hedgehogs will fly and the mice will eat the snakes." The she-cat said seriously but her yellow eyes sparkled happily. Splotchfur was pretty awesome and she would look forward for those times as she was a lonely cat who did enjoy company. It was just hard to keep it because of her shyness but maybe in time it will melt away like it does once she gets to know someone.
