Tangleclaw smiled a little in a friendly manner at the tom, aware of the recent tensions but since nobody seemed to really care or notice that he was talking to another of the other clan he didn't let the thought linger any longer. He couldn't help but notice how handsome the tom was; interestingly enough. "Nothing worth noting," He meowed. "But I do just like to sit and watch the sun descend some nights. It's...nice." He meowed, not sure where this conversation was going. "And yourself?"

Dappledpelt

Dappledpelt smiled back. "How interesting, I agree." He said, watching the tom's fur moving with the slight wind. Starting to purr, and not realizing it, he said, "I e-enjoy hunting. It helps m-me focus." Dappledpelt hadn't talked to someone for this long in moons. He didn't want to go home yet.

Tangleclaw's eyes searched through the tom's appearance more thoroughly before they rested upon his eyes; of which he then stared at for a few more moments before replying: "It does me, too. Sparrow is admittedly my favourite prey." He meowed in reply, his torn ear twitching slightly as he gazed up at the rock where the leaders were just finishing up their speeches. He was surprised that none of his own clanmates had spotted him talking to that of an enemy clan, although it wasn't unusual for warriors to gossip at gatherings. Does it have to be strictly gatherings though? He thought; he did want to become closer to Dappledpelt, considering that the tensions had worn off. He shook the thought away; gatherings would be enough. After all, he could be friends with a cat from another clan, right?

Dappledpelt

Dappledpelt enjoyed the tom's warm look and glanced to Sunspot, who would have to hear about this later. But maybe he could keep it to himself for a while... "Sparrow is o-one of my favorites as well." He observed his stutter calming down. "I like most birds." Looking around, he noticed cats shifting and getting up. The gathering is over already? He gave a slight frown and looked back to Tangleclaw.

Tangleclaw flattened his ears as his apprentice bounded up to him again as he was about to reply, and he flicked her ear with his tail. "Go on ahead, Streampaw. I'll be there in a minute." He told the young she-cat, before watching her bound off and then turning to Dappledpelt. "I suppose I'd better shift." He meowed, a joke to his voice, but edged with regret. "Would you like to meet up again sometime?" He mewed, before he could stop himself. He flushed with embarrassment beneath his fur and flattened his ears, not daring to look up. But even so, he wanted to hear what the other cat had to say.

Dappledpelt

Dappledpelt blushed. "I-I-I s-suppose, uh." He took a quick glance around. He stood up and brushed against the tom quickly, "How about the- the rock on the b-border." He said and scampered away, catching up with Sunspot. He looked back at Tangleclaw quickly. "Do you know anything about that Tangleclaw?" He asked Sunspot. What just happened?

Tangleclaw's ears pricked up a little at the tom's reply and he nodded a little. It wouldn't hurt to get to know him a little better, right?He twitched his tail in farewell after the other bounded over to his clanmate and he hurried after his apprentice, his paws fizzing slightly with energy. He wasn't sure whether the tom was actually serious about what he was saying, but he couldn't not attend since he was the one who suggested it in the first place.

Dappledpelt

Sunspot didn't reply. She was talking to someone, Dappledpelt presumed she hadn't heard him. It was mostly silent the way back to camp. He decided it was best to go tomorrow at dusk and keep going until he'd see Tangleclaw. When he got back to camp, he wasn't very keen to sleep. Sharing tongues in the warriors den for a while, he eventually curled up in his nest and decided it would be best to get rest for tomorrow. Is what I'm doing wrong..? ... No, we're just friends... He thought to himself as he dozed into sleep.

Tangleclaw clambered into his nest restlessly that night, after a long journey with Streampaw and his sister, Smalltail; mainly consisting of Streampaw giving every single detail of the gathering that they had all witnessed. His sister had flicked her tail over his ear as he had started to become annoyed. "Don't worry about her, it was her first gathering." She had reasoned; and she had a point. However, his thoughts wandered back and forth from Dappledpelt to wondering whether it was really serious that they wanted to meet up. It wasn't against the warrior code to have friends in other clans, was it?

The next day, Dappledpelt couldn't keep his mind off Tangleclaw. Getting up early, the cold temperature had brought frost, and he was awakened by the sting of the cold on his pads. The tom walked out of camp for a hunt, and into the woodland surroundings. In the thicket, he spent most of the day hunting, every once and a while bringing his catches into camp.
