So happy this thread exists! I started collecting when I was 13 I believe, however stopped collecting once I left school at the age of fifteen. I've only revently unboxed my entire collection from storage and put them on display after three years of having them in a large stoa the bin on my uncles property. All my horses are on shelves now and will be used for display models. I didn't intend on collecting them anymore however once I was reminded how pretty they are I just couldn't resist! My most recent purchases are Milton, and today I have ordered Frankel and the 2014 holiday horse (unfortunately I can't think of it's name). Currently I have 1 paddock pal, 7 stablemates, 1 Minnie whinnie, 5 classics and 28 traditionals not including the two I have ordered. I do have a few Breyer vintage dogs, along with riders and tack however have grown out of using them for play and now only collect the Traditinal horses unless another scale horse catches my eye.
Edit;; Is it true that the tack on the holiday horses should be removed as it can stain the horses paint? I only have the 2013 Holiday horse and I removed his tack as soon as I opened him, however I'm in two minds to remove the tack once the 2014 holiday horse arrives.

I also took a break from collecting for a year or two, and I got back into it a few years ago!
I have heard horror stories about christmas tack stains...I don't have any christmas horses so I personally don't know....I think any stains that would have occured might have already occured because it is an olderish model though. If you want to display him with the tack, I have heard its also very hard to the tack back on in the right way, so that's something to consider. However, I feel like I would want to see the beautiful horse underneath the tack at least once!

Hey guys! c: I belonged to the old thread awhile back (I was BreyerFreak), however I haven't really been active here on CS in over a year. But I'm back, at least temporarily, and I'm very excited to see what's going on over here in the Breyer corner of CS. c:
Anyone manage to go to breyerfest this year? How was it? Even if my chances of attending look extremely bleak, I'm very excited for next year's theme. I'm expecting some very pretty models. <3

I wasn't able to go, but I think finally I will be going next year!!! I am so pumped and I really like the theme! I'm expecting the marwari mold to play a big role...maybe the celebration horse? Then the only other molds I can think of that they would use are arabians, maybe....what molds do you guys think they will use? Anyways I am so pumped for next summer!! Now I just gotta put it out of mind for a good couple months so I can enjoy the rest of the year, haha

What's everyones opinion on the 2016 holiday horse? My mums just ordered it for me as a christams present, it's the first time I've seen the model and I'm thrilled with how Breyer have made it. I think it's a beautiful horse, the tack is very tasteful and the fact it's in the lonesome glory mold for me is just an added bonus. I was concerned that the model wouldn't be very tasteful as I think some of Breyer holiday horses have become almost tacky.
