Pebblefur slowly trotted past the others, nearing the entrance of the camp. Stopping to eye up the fresh kill pile she sighed. "Might as well go try to catch some more prey... That pile is running a little low..." she thought, silently.

As soon as he heard the scream, Stoatfur jumped to his paws and bounded into the medicine cat den, heading straight for Sunsetkit. "What's wrong? What hurts?" He mewed in a calm tone, even though he was freaking out on the inside. He didn't want his panic to freak anyone else out.


Owlcall purred at Tawnyshadow and ran to catch up with her, bumping her gently with his shoulder once he caught up to her. He turned his head to make sure everyone else was close by. "Come on Gingerpelt." He called back to the she-cat, seeing that she seemed to be off in her own thoughts.

Sunsetkit wailed,"M-My..... M-My chest." She managed to say before trying to look aruond again. Still nothing,"W-here.... a-are.... y-you?.... W-Why can't.... I-I see you?" She whimpered quietly. Her chest was in so much pain that it even hurt just the breath..

Stoatfur faltered for a moment when Sunsetkit mentioned that she couldn't see anything. He hurried back into his store and grabbed a piece of honeycomb before returning to Sunsetkit.

"Eat this, it'll help with your chest." He mewed, setting it on a broad leaf in front of Sunsetkit before disappearing back into his store. He grabbed a few celandine flowers, biting into their stems so the juices would come out.

"I'm going to put some of this juice in your eyes and see if it helps, stay still, okay?" He mewed, leaning over her with the celandine, biting into it more so the juices trickled out of the stems and into Sunsetkit's eyes.

Sunsetkit followed her nose to the honeycomb. It smelt sweet and like a treat. She ate a little of the sticky and delicious honey before the medicine cat had came back. When he told her to stay still and started to put the herb juice into her eyes, the she-kit couldn't help but squirm a little and whimper, as it stung her eyes a bit at first contact.

"It'll only sting for a little bit, I promise." Stoatfur mewed moving to the other eye and squeezed the celandine juice into her other eye. Stoatfur stepped back, dropping the use celandine by the entrance to the den before turning back to Sunsetkit.

"When it stops stinging, eat the rest of the honeycomb."

Sunsetkit whimpered when he did the other eye. Upon hearing what the tom said, the little she-kit gave a tiny nod from the head in reply. Once the stinging had went down a little, Sunsetkit reached her muzzle out and took another bite of the honeycomb.

"Is your chest feeling any better?" Stoatfur mewed once he came back from checking if Ryemouse, Foxfang and the other sick cats were starting to wheeze like Sunsetkit had.
