Loki had paused mid-step, halting his gate and casually turning toward the other man. Oh, this was just a bit too tempting to pass up. As Ward spoke of his crimes, a long list of things in which the mortal apparently thought were either impressive or intimidating, Loki's smirk only grew into an outright grin. It wasn't exactly a pleasant smile. More predatory, and feral than it was friendly. Ward really believed that he could 'take him out' as the man had so eloquently put it. If his knowledge of Midgardian terminology was correct, then Loki translated the phase to mean that Ward presumed that he could kill him if he so wished. How amusing.
"You clearly have no idea who I am." Loki said with a smug expression. "And you would do best not to tempt me into showing you." The god warned with a faint laugh, and though it was evident that he thought of this conversation as nothing but humorous, his tone had darkened slightly along with the threat. Even with his scepter currently in the form of a cane, he was still fully capable of walloping him with it. And with the weapon held within his grasp, his magic was also strengthened and more powerful than it would have been without it, like the added seidr was a drug flowing through his veins.
When Nierka approached, Loki sighed and flashed a glare in her direction, even before she removed her helmet. Since he was no mortal, he could see her, no matter what magic she attempted to hide under. He gave a smirk, though, when she gave Ward a false name.
