the legend from the older wolves say that the serein mountains began as small borders to
the alkaline territory. pure and untouched from the world, the serein mountains grew
taller and wider until one day, the serein mountains and the alkaline region became visible
to the world and animals began the long trek towards this new land. herds of deer, bison,
hares, birds, and even sheep and mountain goats began to call this their home. with the
abundance of prey, predators such as bears and cougars along with foxes and coyotes.

the alkaline region was circled by the serein mountains and the only way to get in way one
open path that was steep and rocky. the mountainous borders made it nearly impossible
for a small pack to survive the journey from the borders to the akaline region, but for those
desperate enough, some made it through and packs began to form within the mountain.
for those who live within the serein mountains, they consider themselves the lucky ones.

makes you family, not your blood. the main deity is goddess kandhare, who all
kandhareans pray to along with another god or goddess if they choose. even if
they do not pray to the other gods, the kandhareans respect the other deities.
when it comes to the darshieans, the kandhareans respect their deities as well,
but do not pray to any of them. the kandhareans judges the wolf, not the family.

the goddess of the kandharean religion.

kandhare is said to be a black she wolf with golden eyes.
kandhare controls all of the other deities and is considered
the mother of the wolves, whether you're a kandharean or
darshiean. she is normally prayed to by expecting mothers
and soon to be fathers in the last days of pregnancy to ask
for healthy pups or before war for help in victory and for
guidance. kandhare is also prayed in times of need and she
is also thanks during times of joy and happiness.

bonai, vheium, delumine.
the gods of unity.

bonai is the eldest, followed by vheium, then delumine. the
the story goes the three were strangers who were betrayed
by their family. when they left the pack, all three ended up
in the same place and became friends, practically brothers.
they were all loyal to each other and now represent unity of
the kandharean religion. they are prayed by lovers, friends,
family members, and packmates. bonai represents the one
that begins the friendship.

lysdandre.
the goddess of the hunt.

lysdandre controls the wolf's chance of beating a prey or a
predator, depending on who you are and what you've done.
lysdandre was said to be the greatest huntress of all time
until she began to hunt for sport and kandhare punished her
for ridding the valley of deer and small prey. ashamed, she
preyed to kandhare for a second chance and began to help
her pack out of a famine. seeing the good how she's learned
from her mistakes, kandhare allowed her to join as a deity.

erotia, aphroram.
the goddess and god of romance and fertility.

erotia was the daughter of two strict alphas meanwhile the
forbidden son of an omega was aphroram. growing up, she
would secretly give extra scraps to aphroram and meet up
with him, eventually falling in love. when her parents found
out about this later, aphroram was killed. a pregnant and
devasted, erotia ended up throwing herself down the waterfall
and died before she was reunited with aphroram in the stars.
the two represent true love.

namor, zephyr.
the gods of betrayal and war, guardians of the damned.

namor and zephyr were the older brothers of kandhare, who
helped in betraying her, ultimately leading her to no longer
believe in family values and in bonds instead. namor was the
eldest of the three and when a war struck their pack, he was
considering giving kandhare to the rival's alpha as a mate.
zephyr was the one who eagerly sent kandhare to the rivals.
kandhare send them to the underworld to punish them. they
now control the souls that are lost.

darshi is said to be a monochromatic wolf with light eyes.
darshi controls all of the other deities and is considered
the father of the wolves, whether you're a kandharean or
darshiean. he is normally prayed to by the brutes before a
war for luck and strength, but also by the faes when their
husband is unwell or fighting. darshi was the creator of
sapphire day to honour kandhare, but the two created a
separate religion due to their differences. he still loves her.

fenelopi, dimitrene.
the goddess of herbology and goddess of motherhood.

the sisterhood. fenelopi is the goddess of motherhood while
dimitrene is the goddess of herbology. the two sisters were
born as the daughters of two skilled hunters, but the father
was a great healer as well as he was an apprentice. when
they were of age, dimitrene was taught the ways of herboloy
while fenelopi rathered to help her brother with their little
siblings and learned how to help deliver pups and take care
of them. they're usually prayed by the ill.

ekremane, viktrius, tondarian.
the god of wisdom, god of chance, god of truth.

the brotherhood and actual brothers of darshi. ekremane
is the eldest and god of wisdom; viktrius is the middle and
god of chance; tondarian is the youngest and god of truth.
unlike darshi, the three brothers all became hunters with
viktrius actually being a former commanding hunter. together,
they all take up the good and the bad of the wolf and the
quality of the bloodline, whether if it's good or bad. they are
always prayed by brothers who have wronged each other.

chentourus.
the spirit of protection, guardian of the serein border.

not much is known about chentourus except for the fact
that he was a spirit older than darshi and kandhare themselves
and that chentourus was the one who gave god darshi and
goddess kandhare immortality, powers, and the ability to
pass it on. chentourus protects both the bloodline and the
wolf, but focuses more on family. if angered, chentourus is
said to be the one to choose your death, usually it would be
painful and soon. he also protects the mountain from outsiders.

lanioskyala, bennetia.
the goddesses of redemption, wives of namor and zephyr.

lanioskyala and bennetia were close friends who met namor
and zephyr when bennetia was close to death and lanioskyala
bargained her soul with noram. taking the deal, lanioskyala
was brought to the underworld to live with the brothers while
bennetia was sorrowful, but alive. not having anyone else,
bennetia struck a deal with zephyr to be his servant so the two
could reunite. said to be the redemption of namor and zephyr,
the close friends now watch over the underworld with their loves.

the alkaline region itself is 4,978,921 square miles, just a little under siberia.
the territory of the wolves include the northern hunting ground, waterfall, the
northern caves, a lake, the flower meadow, and a small camp in the middle
of it all. the wolves control the northern part of the alkaline region.

the heart of the wolves' territory


the centre of the wolves' territory and the place where
all of the wolves report to in the morning and so on.
meetings are always taken place here unless the alpha
directed the wolves to another area. there is a lot of
shade from the evergreen trees and a large boulder for
the alpha only. the camp is the safest place.

den area.
where all of the wolves' individual caves are


the caves are hidden underneath the trees and are spread
out from each other about fifty feet or so. each den is
quite spacious and they are all very clean inside. there is
around eighteen dens in the northern den area. each den
is soundproof unless you are at the entrance. the alphas'
and betas' dens are larger than most and are the farthest.

meadow.
romantic area and good training area


the meadow is full of flowers, soft grass, and medical herbs.
many mothers and fathers take their children here to train
them in hunting and teaches them exercises. althought it is
a great place to train due to the ground not being able to hurt
the pup, the meadow is also quite romance at night and in
the evening for courters.

the hunting ground that is claimed by the wolves is quite spacious
and abundant. the ground has great traction while running and
considering that the area is a very large size with plenty of shade,
water, and grass for the prey to graze on, a famine is the last
of their worries. prey consists of large animals such as bison and
caribou to smaller creatures such as small rodents and otters.

waterfall.

the waterfall of the northern pack is quite spectacular, but
also not as big as you would expect it to be. once a public area,
the waterfall is now only used by the alphas and the betas only.
anyone who does not have permission will be punished. the
waterfall is around nine feet deep of blue freshwater and is
surrounded by rocks and trees everywhere.

lupis lake.
lake abandoned by large prey


lupis lake used to belong to all of the herds within the serien
borders, but when the wolves came, they all retreated to the
one of the hunting grounds. now, lupis lake is abandoned and
left only for the wolves and small prey such as hares or rats.
anyone can pass through or visit. there is also fish inside the
lake and sometimes minks.

the winters aren't as harsh as you would expect them to be. december
shows the first sign of snow and it's snowing, more or less. still, the sun
is out to keep the snow in check so the ground is never more than five
inches worth of snow. december also marks the beginning of mating
season. with numbers decreasing within the serein borders due to last
year of pups not surviving due to an disease that affected the pups,
mates are very much encourages so pups will be born in the spring.

december will end on page fourty (40); january will begin on page
eighty (80); february will begin on page one-hundred-twenty (120)
winter will end on page one-hundred-sixty (160).

kazimir was up at the crack of dawn, per usual. his dark brown eyes scanned the horizon for other wolves or predators and his black nose scouted for foreign scents as he patrolled the borders of his territory. kazimir was known to be a diligent and hard working wolf. when it came to being strict and friendly, he was still the man for the job, but when it came to being strict and intimidating, his sister was the fae that would put wolves in their place. of course, kazimir would do the same if needed, he just preferred to be known as a benevolent alpha and katerinka- well katerinka didn't give a damn.

passing by the hunting grounds, the brute lifted up his nose once again to get a whiff of the game nearby. kazimir's bloodline didn't have the best luck when it came to sight. they can all see, of course, but out of the three, malakhai beat the twins by a mile due to the fact that the twins couldn't see as far as most wolves could. the same old two caribou herd was still there, a small herd of bison, and a few new herds of white tails? that was interesting seeing that kazimir didn't expect them to travel into the serein so early. still, that would make easy and good prey and that was all kazimir cared about. it would feed the pack good and whatever kept his wolves healthy, made him happy enough.

as kazimir came back into the camp, the brute jumped onto the boulder that he was on and pelted the snow on top back to the ground. he sat tall and proud before looking up at the sky. "of course, snow is coming soon." kazimir thought to himself. the brute could already see katerinka going from den to den to wake everyone up and decided to wait a moment. once she got to the omegas' den, kazimir lifted his head up and gave a long and loud howl to assemble everyone to the meeting.

katerinka already hated the day as soon as she woke up. with her brother always being so punctual, the fae eventually learned to wake up when she heard the crunching of his steps outside of her den as he came inside to check up on her and then went back outside once he saw that she was okay. a few moments after the brute left her den, katerinka's brain began to realise that it was time for her to be an actual adult with responsibilities and go wake up the others. getting out from her own den, katerinka shook when the cold reached to the tops of her claws. a small shiver escaped.

going into the hunters' den, the she wolf slipped inside and cleared her throat. "hunters and huntresses. it's time to assemble for the day." she would say to them and then it was onto the guards. slipping inside the guards' den, the beta looked at the three she wolves and cleared her throat once again. "good morning, guards, it's time to assemble for the day." katerinka told them and then made her way to astra's den. "astra, you sleepy head, wake up please. we both don't want to see my brother have a fit." she said to her friend and then went onto maska's den. "commander maska, it's time to assemble for the day. i hope to see you at the meeting soon." and that was when the she wolf heard kazimir's call.

malakhai's dreams ended with katerinka's voice and footsteps going away from the hunters' and huntresses' den. the den wasn't as large as he hoped it would be and it wasn't cramped either, but malakhai hoped for more distance from the others. of course, he kept to the hunter's side and stayed very distant from the huntresses, but there was only so much he could go. getting up from his slumber, the brute stretched out his long body and cracked his neck before nudging the other hunters. "come on, gents, before kazimir's howl begins to crack with anger with our tardiness." malakhai joked. looking the other side, malakhai simply gave the huntresses a smile as a good morning and then slipped out of the den, waiting for the others hunters and huntresses to come out as well so they could travel to the meeting together.
