@captain - I agree in some ways, personally I've created ways to counter act the points you made in certain ways. For example, I start by either looking at the price I paid for the character, or similar style/design quality characters to get my "base" price. I then increase it by a chunk (eg. say a character's base price was 500 DA points, I would raise it to 600-700 DA points).Then when a user asks for a character's approx. price, I can say "600-700 DA points however I am willing to reduce if you'd like" Most players if they are wanting to pay less will then ask how low you are willing to do in which I reply "500 DA points would be my lowest" this makes you look like a nice person for lowering it as well makes them more willing to buy it since you are giving them a "100 point discount"

And I was speaking more of those who don't list anything (average price, payment preferences, nothing. and expect you to play a guessing game to figure out what they want. Or they say "Oh I don't care what you offer" and then when you offer they get all mad at you like "omg wow how rude offering XXX I wanted XYX". Its happened to me many times and I just find it very very frustrating.

@Sixbane - Beautiful art <3 And you can use the method I described above if it helps. I've used it for years and have never had an issue with creating an average price (its a bit harder when asking for CS pets for example but the same idea applies)

@Shenan - No actually they aren't. But they both are close to my heart since they are based on myself (fursona and ex-fursona) and so I love getting art of them together when I can <3

@viixxen - Exactly!! I've refused to even try and buy some characters because I don't feel like playing a guessing game to find out what they want for it.

@Foxtrot: oh yes, that's a very good strategy! i personally prefer both offering on and holding OTA because there may be something you didn't think you'd want until it was offered, which has happened to me plenty of times. also, it can work the same way as an auction but with added benefits. others will see that someone offered 500 point so they wont offer less than that or they might offer that same amount plus art or characters. then the next person will see that offer and try to top it. over all i think it just works out best for the seller. plus you always have an edge if you have lots of points and HQ art/characters. that way you can stack the offers and possibly top someone who's offering just points or just art. i like to have lots of choices and i never really know what i want until i see it so that's probably the reason for my preferences.

but yes, i see how that can get pretty annoying pretty fast. i feel like it's only right to have some sort of list with things that you might like and then maybe include that you'll look at other things, even if the list is vague, it's better than nothing

i'm wondering because two people owe me art (one from an adopt i sold, one from a secret santa on another site that the organizer didn't, well, organize properly) and haven't contacted me in over a year (2-3 years, in one case). would it be rude to bring it up to them, or should i remind them that they owe me?
