read for the role-play "the empty city"! welco
me c: this role-play is somewhat based off of
the popular book series survivors by authors e
rin hunter, but it is not required to have read
it to role-play on this thread. (I've only read a
book or two myself) as stated on the main thr
ead, this role-play has been started but we ha
d only got in a few pages before i decided to
make it an invite only. this way the thread mo
ves faster and (hopefully) everyone will be mo
re active than on the other thread! hopefully y
ou all enjoy the new look as well as the tight c
ommunity that will most likely form as we go
along with the rp! i'm looking forward to get
ing to know all of you better as well as your w
onderful characters that are in the role-play.

right now it is in the end of august. the
temperature is still hot, but after the b
ig storm hit, the air has mostly just bee
n muggy and humid. no matter where y
ou are at, there is water somewhere ne
arby. this can be both a good and bad t
hing. yes, there is more to drink but th
e fresh scent of the water can cover up
the smell of poison. the river is filled t
o its rim, which threatens to sweep aw
ay any dog who gets too close to the ed
ge. on the positive side, the prey has b
een quite abundant compared to before
the big storm. the former leash dogs ar
e finding it much easier to live without
their longpaws while the strays are also
finding it easier to survive after the big
growl destroyed the city. the group kno
wn as the killers have been showing a b
it more activity on their border, which
has the pack dogs on very high alert.

s. he is strict and hard on his canines, but he
believes that it is for the best. he has the imp
ression of a very tempered male but deep do
wn he is a caring, kind, and will do anything f
or his beloved pack. maybe one day he will b
e able to find a beautiful fae and have pups.

caleb is a german shepherd and wolf hybrid. his
mother was one of the well known "killers" while
his father was one of the wolf pack fighters. cal
eb bares the looks of both his mother and his fa
ther. his coat color is mostly black, however, yo
u can make out the brown and tan tufts of fur c
overing his body. he has amber eyes that almost
appear red when he looks towards the sun and a
very small white mark on his chest. he is the siz
e of a normal wolf and is built more for combat
than he is for any agility or hunting, though he is
fully capable of doing both in the pack if needed.

when caleb was younger and just starting out on
his own after leaving the pack, he decided that
he was going to find a longpaw who would take h
im in, of course, this was a mistake. the lady fre
aked out at his appearance and chased him into
an alley way. he sheltered there for a while befo
re a group of large strays came up o him, sneerin
g and eventually attacked the black pup. he still
has a long scar down his rear leg from the brutes
and to this day, caleb has a very deep hatred for
any stray that tries to trespass on his territory.

est dog on earth, unaware of the different life
style that the pack could possibly offer her.

that something was terribly wrong. she whine
d in attempts to warn her longpaws, but they
just locked her up in her crate telling her to
be quiet. hours passed before the quaking be
gan, and when it did her longpaw's were frigh
tened. in their fear, they packed up and left
with lexie in the crate. she could hear her bo
y calling for her through the noise but was un
able to get to him. she escaped her crate by
chewing through it and was heartbroken up u
ntil the point when she found the lost pack.

oing. she is kind and caring towards anyone, no
matter their rank. she loves her job as a hunter
and uses it to test her great tracking skills. this
fae is sometimes too confident in her abilities w
hich can lead her into a bit of trouble, but their
is no doubt that her intentions are pure. lexie I
s one to accept any challenge that is thrown at
her, and perhaps that is the main reason why sh
e finds the stray, gunther, to be so fascinating.
she can be strict when she needs to be but she
would much rather not be, she doesn't want to
hurt anyone's feelings for any reasons. overall l
exie is a great dog to be around, and an even b
etter hunting partner if you give her a chance.

righten him at his young age. he is fairly wise
for his age, though he can be somewhat imm
ature on very few occasions. the young brute
lives on the edge of the city, near a well-sto
cked meat shop, the perfect place for him.

always had a pretty big sense of humor and he

o his big paws, but most of the time he is very
focused and knows what he has to do to get thi
ngs down. he may only be three years old, but
he is a lot smarter than a lot of the dogs in the

to the legacy that his beloved mother left behind.

gunther gives off a stoic, intense, and dignified fir
st impression. he is probably one of the most loya
l dogs on the face of the earth, but he has some t
rust issues since his owners abandoned him and d
odge. gun is loyal, hardworking, and never gives u
p or loses sight of his goals; he's also very determ
ined and ambitious when he gets fixated on some
thing, and is wildly intelligent and strong-willed.
on the downside, he is a tad bit dogmatic and co
ntrolling, and lashes out when he doesn't get his
way. he is blunt, emotionless, a bit of a party-po
oper, and too forward and smart for his own goo
d. // he likes hunting, the great outdoors, and h
e loves his brother, though he would never admit
to it. his strengths are hunting, tracking, and figh
ting. he's simply an expert at surviving, really.

this spunky, rough-and-tough gal is just as strong and beautif

ery athletic from her days of navigating obstacle courses and ru
nning miles with beck, brun is at prime physical condition. her f

ruddy russet hues. she has a massive pair of ears and a long, br

and soulful amber-brown, and are quite mesmerizing and almo

brunhilda was raised to be a leader and an authority figure from the time that she
exited her mother's womb. her owner, a man named beck, had seen potential in t
german shepherd and had decided to train her to join his police department as a
bomb-sniffer, in thanks to her good nose. brun flourished under beck's wing and
soon got her beloved tag that deemed her a part of the task force. but when a fre
ak accident struck with brun not discovering a terrorist bomb in time, beck was k
illed. and she, as a result, was sent back to her former home, family, and owners.
she has stayed in the "killers' territory" ever since, constantly full of inward guilt a
nd the idea that it is her fault that beck is dead and her fault that the killers' long
paws have vanished. she is very loyal to the family she has returned to, as they ar

Bluejay is a three year old Borde
r Collie, who's fur is a mixture o
f white, grey, black, and a hint
of brown. Her eyes are an icy bl
ue, standing out against the pale
r fur around them. Bluejay is a q
uiet canine, a little shy too, thou
gh she is also very determined, a
nd will not give up easily. She ha
s a slight rebelious side to her as
well, and if fixed on doing somet
hing, will ignore others and cont
inue doing what she thinks is righ
t. Perhaps one of Bluejay's favour
ite things to do is explore, hence
why she's a scout rather than a h
unter. Despite sometimes breaki
ng the rules, Bluejay is quick to
back down when challenged, wh
ether that be by a stray, or anoth
er pack dog. If encountering a st
ray, she'll first challenge them, t
hough if there's the risk of a figh
t, she'll either rely on speed to g
et her away, or agility to dodge
attacks and then wait for the righ
t moment to strike. She's not all t
hat strong, and so has to be caref
ul when fighting other dogs that s
he isn't pinned down, as it will be
difficult for her to throw her atta
cker off again. Bluejay's weaknes
ses lie in her strength and ability
to swim. While Bluejay can swim,
it's only for very short periods of
time, and even then she is a wea
k swimmer. When you get to kno
w her more, Bluejay can be quite
sarcastic, though not in a negativ
e way. She doesn't like being ca
lled Blue, though probably wo
n't say anything if you call her th
is without being close to her
(Unless she is in a particularly ba
d mood). She's a kind dog,
just a bit too quiet to show it.

he was a leash dog ever since he was young, a Christmas gift to a young boy that thought he was the best thing in the world. they were perfect together, inseparable. but then the big growl hit...

marmaduke was always playful & happy when with his boy. they always used to play together & cuddle beside one ano
ther at night. when marmaduke's boy was afraid, he would always be the bravest he could, no matter if it was the invisible monsters in his closet or the mean dogs a few houses down, marmaduke and his boy always had eachothers backs. but ever since the big growl hit, marmaduke has changed. he has had his favourite thing in the world get forced away from him, & no matter how much he wishes to bring his boy back, he knows he's gone for good. marmaduke is now a brave and loyal dog that doesn't mess around. he is extremely serious and a bit of a bore at times, but is a loyal beta that will do anything for his pack. he chose to still wear his collar and is blind out of his right eye from debris.

the pack's territory, marmaduke doesn't much like
this dog as much as he dislikes dodge. although, he
has never really seen him around before so he isn't
too quick to judge. either way he isn't fond of this d
og and dislikes him nonetheless.
