The current season is leaf-bare! That means it's very cold, and I can't say I'm enjoying it. The snow in some territories is quite beautiful and tempting to play in, though- maybe ask some of your friends to help you build a snowcat? Since it is so chilly, everyone is doing their best to stay inside, which means you'll catch less prey, as well as meet fewer new friends. It has become much easier for sickness to spread and queens will find that births are the most difficult in this season. Be cautious and make sure to stock up on healing herbs!

✧ Freuxfreckle's patrol chose to fight! Not willing to allow aggressive trespassers to invade ChessClan's land, Poirebear made the first attack, catching a rogue off guard and starting the battle. Poirebear was easily able to chase them off but will require 1 moon of rest. Béliercurl ended up as the target of multiple of the rogues, and the poor cavalier took a bit of a beating before Hérissonnespine and Caramelpetal fought them off- he will need 2 moons of rest as well as x1 wintergreen and x1 wood sorrel. Lièvreshell sustained minor wounds and will require 1 moon of rest. Cloverstep ended up with a particularly deep scratch that will need x1 dock. Other than that, no serious injuries were sustained and the patrol chased off the rogues successfully.

Burningpaw, young and with no fighting training, was frozen to her spot- but luckily her mentor was there, and Cloudpeak bravely took on the fox on his own. Thankfully the fox was only a pup, and clearly it was not well fed; after a few exchanged blows, the ArcticClan warrior was able to discourage it enough to make it flee. He leaned on Burningpaw for support on the way back to camp, and after being ushered into the medicine den, Frostgaze decided he should rest for 1 moon and receive x1 willow bark and x1 wintergreen for his wounds.

Hunting (Bumblewing's patrol); Bumblewing and Basilfoot
catch x2 rabbits!

Hunting (Pinefur's patrol); Pinefur and Spottedlily
catch x1 vole!

Patrolling (Ebonystar's patrol); Ebonystar and her
patrol immediately come across the fox. It seemed like
a young and hungry male fox and leapt towards the
patrol almost instantly. Angelmist receives a
scratch after protecting Ambergaze and will
require x1 moon of rest or x1 cobweb. Luckily,
it seems the patrol frightened off the fox so they won't
have to deal with it again anytime soon.

Patrolling (Junipertuft's patrol); Junipertuft stops
in his tracks and scents another cat. He ends up leading
Mousepelt to the scent, and the two find a warrior-aged
cat who asks if they could accompany the two back.
They are a ginger spotted longhair with low white and
green eyes. Their genotype is ll, --, XO-, D-, --, Mc-, SpSp,
C-, Wsw and were colored by HI55

Herb Gathering; Peonystripe gathers x1 burnet
and x1 cobwebs!

Hunting; Northstar's patrol catches x1 small fish,
x1 scraps, and x2 cat food! Unfortunately, Jinx gained
a cold from patrolling twice and will need x1 moon of
rest or x1 goldenrod, and Northstar tripped due to
exhaustion and scratched her forehead and will need
x1 moon of rest or x1 blackberry leaf to heal.

Patrolling; Northstar's patrol encounters an adult
aged cat! They are a black-and-white shorthair with pale
colored eyes. Their genotype is LL, B-, Xo-, D-,
aa, --, C-, Wsw and they were colored by Deimos.

and x1 honey.

- Animus gets sick, and Arno gets worried quickly. Despite Imbe's reassurance, the male cat can't rest. Pyrrhus has to practically shove him onto a scouting patrol. When Arno gets home, Animus is sleeping and Imbe gladly tells Arno his mate is feeling much better already.
Dex approaches Mineral one night, where he tells her that, after thinking it over, he was stupid to decline her and is guilty for doing so. And that he accepts the mateship, and jokingly suggests to start a family after leafbare; 'can't have the snow eating away at us!' Mineral doesn't find it funny, but they sleep under the stars as the night slowly gets colder.
Ravenus speaks to Imbe about her soon-to-be litter, getting more nervous now, as Imbe speaks to her about how she can help. Everyone in camp will be around to assist the frolicking kittens! Ravenus feels better.
Ends off with Lilieae walking off to training with a frown, after watching Animus sleep for a few minutes. -
