- Chai finds a Cherufe with fiery hair who he finds very pretty very quickly. He outright says that he finds her hot as flirting. She gets confused by the term, but finds it cute.
- Mae and Tamar get married
- Cute bonding time between Niran and Kasem. Kasem says he was friends with who Niran was before and maybe Niran's not the same person, but in respect of who they were, Kasem wants to basically be Niran's older sibling / parent figure and just make sure they're okay. It's wholesome and good.
- She feels pushed out from her society because while she was training with her siblings to learn the religious practices of their culture, she never fully got the principle of some of the rituals, and when she was developing her spirituality, she kept finding her fire abilities got stronger rather than her magic, and she can do no separate magic at all at this point, and her fire is so strong that it's visible on her
- Chai just thinks she's pretty, and given she seems like she's competent in some spiritual practices, she's invited to specifically be a shaman. She agrees; she'd prefer being a shaman over most other things anyway, as she's never really had to do any physical labour in her life and she doesn't know how to do most of it, and she's pretty sure her fire hair will set most plants near her alight and scare off most animals, but if she can just read books and practice making healing poultices, she's pretty sure that'll work out fine.
