Welcome to the Islanders ARPG Leveling topic. Here is where we will keep track of everything arpg!

Post here to register your island. Post here to level up your villager's friendship or island. Post here to retire a player villager and nominate another. Post here to approve your redeemed tickets/vouchers. Make sure that you are meeting word count or art requirements for any prompt tasks.

2. you may submit multiple leveling prompts at once

3. writing entries must be at least 300 words. Art entries must be at least clean lines, colored, and include enough objects to satisfy the prompt

4. no ai generation or ai assistance is allowed

5. player villagers and custom villagers cannot be species of myth such as dragons, kitsune, kelpies, cerberus etc

6. the pixel items are not free use, but must be given to you by species staff to own

7. any questions send to BlueEyedKite on cs or discord (blueeyedkite)

Leveling your island

A registered island starts at 0 stars. You must level your island to gain species currency and exclusive rewards. Register your island before levelling by submitting the registering island form in this topic.

Writing entries must be at least 300 words. Art entries must be at least clean lines, colored, and include enough objects to satisfy the prompt.

1 star prompt: what is your island's native fruit? What is your island's native flower? How do your villagers feel about them? Draw or describe both.
Reward: 1 bell coin and 1 star fragment


2 stars prompt: what theme is your island? Does it have one? Draw or describe.
Reward: 1 bell coin and 1 star fragment


3 stars prompt: what is your island's flag? Draw or describe. For writing responses you can describe how your flag design came to be. Who invented it? How do your villagers feel about it?
Reward: 1 bell coin and 1 star fragment


4 stars prompt: draw or describe a decorated area of your island. How do your villagers feel about it? Is the space utilized or ignored?
Reward: 1 bell coin and 1 star fragment


5 stars prompt: draw or describe an activity your villagers can participate in that is unique to your island.
Reward: 1 bell coin, your choice of Bell Voucher or Tailors Ticket, and 1 star fragment


6 stars prompt: draw or describe how your island is decorated during winter, summer, spring, or fall. How do your villagers react to the decor? What is the most and least liked decor?
Reward: 1 bell coin and 1 star fragment


7 stars prompt: draw or describe your building layout. Villager houses in a neighborhood or scattered? Where are your shops? Town hall? Museum? How does your layout impact the villagers' day-to-day living? For art, a map is encouraged.
Reward: 1 bell coin and 1 star fragment


8 stars prompt: draw or describe your island's neighbor. What is their relationship like? Must have permission to use someone's island.
Reward: 1 bell coin and 1 star fragment


9 stars prompt: draw or describe a building unique to your island. How do the villagers like it? Is it used often or a ghost town?
Reward: 1 bell coin and 1 star fragment


10 stars prompt: draw or describe the celebration for reaching 10 stars.
Reward: 1 bell bag, 1 Nook Miles Ticket, and 1 star fragment. You may now create another island if you choose!

Level your villager friendship:

All villagers start at 0 Friendship Level (this includes acquiring traded villagers). Friendship leveling will be different than island leveling, as you may need to use tickets/vouchers to advance. In addition to bell rewards, Leaf Badges are also awarded. Leaf Badges are a way to display your villager's friendship level, at a glance. Your player villager must be the character interacting with your chosen villager.

Writing entries must be at least 300 words. Art entries must be at least clean lines, colored, and include enough objects to satisfy the prompt.

Lvl 1 prompt: you visit your villager, in their home, for the first time. What happens? How does it go? Draw or describe.
Reward: red leaf badge and 1 bell coin


Lvl 2 prompt: you chat with your villager to learn three facts about them. What do you learn? Draw or describe.
Reward: your choice of Bell Voucher or Tailors Ticket and 1 bell coin


Lvl 3 prompt: you invite your villager to join you for an activity. What is it and how does it go? Draw or describe.
Reward: orange leaf badge and 1 bell coin


Lvl 4 prompt: your villager is sick. How do you care for them? Draw or describe.
Reward: yellow leaf badge and 1 bell coin


Lvl 5 prompt: you gift your villager 1 item. What is it and how do they like it? Draw or describe (must use 1 Bell Voucher or Tailors Ticket)
Reward: green leaf badge and 1 bell coin


Lvl 6 prompt: your relationship hits a snag. What is the issue and how do you work it out? Draw or describe.
Reward: blue leaf badge and 1 bell coin


Lvl 7 prompt: you redecorate your villager's home at their request. What does the new digs look like? Do they like it? Draw or describe.
Reward: purple leaf badge and 1 bell coin


Lvl 8 prompt: it is your villager's birthday. How do you celebrate them? Draw or describe.
Reward: pink leaf badge and 1 bell coin


Lvl 9 prompt: your villager invites someone special to them to live on your island. Who is it and what is their relationship? (Must use 1 Nook Miles Ticket)
Reward: gold leaf badge and 1 bell coin


Lvl 10 prompt: you and your villager are close. You want to show appreciation for your friendship. How do you do it? Draw or describe.
Reward: villager photo (1 art piece of your villager, drawn by a staff member) and 1 Nook Miles Ticket

The most commonly given reward for arpg leveling. You need 10 of these to equal 1 bell bag. You also need 10 of these to afford 1 voucher/ticket.

leaf badge

This award is unique to Islanders. Receive a leaf badge in varying colors when you level up your villager's friendship. The above leaf badge is red. I will not display the other colors as to not spoil arpg leveling excitement ^^

Species items
"these items can be earned through arpg leveling, given as reward by species staff, or purchased from the store. Spend these by creating your objects/villager and then filling out the voucher/ticket redeem form. Post the filled out form in this topic."

Bell Voucher

This item allows a user to add 1 object to their villager's ref. The object can be an item, a companion, or a prop. If your object normally comes in pairs (maracas, love birds etc) then it will be counted as 1 object. The Bell Voucher cannot be used for clothing/accessories.

Tailors Ticket

This item allows a user to add 1 clothing item/accessory to their villager's ref. If the object goes on the villager itself, then it is classified as a clothing item. If your clothing item normally comes in pairs (earrings, socks etc) then it will be counted as 1 object. The Tailors Ticket cannot be used to add items not placed directly on the villager.

Nook Miles Ticket

This item allows a user to create 1 custom villager. This custom villager is limited to a real world animal or bug species. The Nook Miles Ticket cannot be used to create species of myth such as dragons, kitsune, kelpies, cerberus etc. Create your villager at the Islanders Customs topic.
