Color a Lily Pad, Get a Dracone!

Dracones are shy, sweet beasts, a little larger than a horse when full grown, that live around swamps. They are quite obviously related to the dragon family but are not often found with wings or horns; instead, a common dracone will have a spiny sort of sail along its back. Also, they are different from dragons in that their skin is more amphibious. If frightened (which is easy to do since they're so shy) they will jump into the nearest pond for protection, submerging completely in order to hide.

Hi! And welcome, everyone, to this warm, cozy space where we can all gather with our good dracone friends and all hang out. ^^ This is the place to chat about dracones, what you like about them, what stories you're making around them, what kinds you're hoping to befriend in the future, etc. as well as just hang out as fellow fans of the species.
Oh! And there'll probably be polls as well! Feel free to participate ^^

Follow all CS rules, please, of course
I'd like this to be a relaxed hang out space, but posts should be mostly dracone focused
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to offer critiques, opinions, suggestions, etc for the species, just keep them friendly
And I think that's all for now..? If we need more rules, I'll add them, but I doubt we will. ^^'

WIP

So, I just had a thought that it would a really fun to see what you all have created for your dracones, from worlds to stories to artwork you've made for them. They're a pretty flexible concept, so don't be afraid that your art, whether writing, drawing, painting, etc. wouldn't 'fit the lore'. Its up to you how you interpret your dracone(s) and all your development is welcome here. ^v^
For now, I'm going to display all submitted work with credit to the user who posts (please specify if you'd like to be credited to something other than your CS account). If we end up with the delightful 'problem' of having too much work submitted, then I may have to change how the spotlight. Maybe a link to another document listing all submissions while highlighting a different user and their work or something each week. But for now, go wild! I'd truly love to see everything you've created. ^^
