Wild Mountain Equid Art Exchange Event

What is the Art Exchange Event?
- The Art Exchange Event is essentially a "secret santa" style event where everyone will have a gift piece of art and a chance to win a semi-custom equid!
For those who do not know, a "secret santa" gift exchange is where all names of those participating are randomly given to someone else (who is also participating). Generally, the names are kept secret, and you surprise them with a gift, in this case, art!
How does it work?
- - To enter the event, please fill out the form below with your information and post it on this thread.
- The entries will be open for 1 week so that we can then distribute the names of who you will draw for to each of you by CS private message. You can choose to keep it a secret, or you can choose to say who you got, but everyone will get someone else at random.
- The rest of the event length is to give you time to complete your art piece. You only need to complete 1 piece, but are free to make more if you wish/have time.
- Once you have completed the art gift for your randomized recipient, you post here with a link to it so that I can confirm it has been completed and your name enters into the raffle.
- At the end of each week, users are drawn raffle-style with the chance to win a semi-custom equid.
How do we get the semi-custom and what are the rules to get into the raffle?
- - To qualify for the raffle, you must have completed and posted/shared your art piece in this thread.
- Each week, the username(s) will be drawn for the semi-customs, ending on January 31st, 2025.
- If your name is drawn, then you will be contacted by PM by KittyCatKita to arrange your semi-custom's information. The semi-custom may be completed by KittyCatKita, horsy1050 or CopperChaos, depending on availability of the artists.
- The number of usernames drawn will correlate to how many people have completed their piece (ex. 5 users = 1 custom, 12 users = 2 customs, 30 users = 4 customs, etc).
- If your username is not drawn on the first raffle, it will go back into the raffle for a shot at the second and third drawings.
- If you win one of the semi-custom raffles, your name is removed from any further raffles. 1 semi-custom per person ^^
Important Dates:
- 1. Entry Deadline to Participate: Tuesday, January 7th, 2025 at 5:00 pm GMT (17:00, CS time)
2. First Semi-Custom Raffle Drawing: Friday, January 17th, 2025 at 5:00 pm GMT (17:00, CS time)
3. Second Semi-Custom Raffle Drawing: Friday, January 24th, 2025 at 5:00 pm GMT (17:00, CS time)
4. Third Semi-Custom Raffle Drawing: Friday, January 31st. 2025 at 5:00 pm GMT (17:00, CS time)
5. Closing Date of the Event: Saturday, February 1st, 2025 at 12:00 am GMT (midnight, CS time)
Winners of the semi-customs will be announced each week after the raffle is drawn.

General Rules
- - To qualify for the raffle and participate, you must have posted your form on this thread before the entry closing date. This allows me to ensure I have all the names to give out to other participants.
- You must post the art on this topic to qualify for the raffle. You can send the art to the recipient separately if you wish
- You do not need to own an equid already to join. You can link to a different character of yours to be drawn instead.
- You can include more than one character on the list if you wish to give options to others. Please post all characters as a link rather than images to help save space.
- If you wish to include extra information about your character's personality, etc, please feel free to include that in the Extra Information section of the form.
Art Rules
- - We don't intend for this to be a crazy complicated event. We just ask that you do one piece that is at minimum a sketch with base colour for your recipient.
- If you wish to do lineart, shading, highlighting, background etc., you are welcome to, but this is extra above the minimum requirements.
- You only need to complete 1 piece for your recipient to qualify for the raffle. If you would like to do more for them, go for it!
- Traditional art is welcome as well as digital! If you go the traditional route, please take a picture or scan the drawing to gift to the recipient as well as post here for the raffle.
FAQ:
1. Will we receive a new name each week?
No, You will only be receiving the 1 randomized name for the month
2. Do we have to do a piece of art each week for our recipient?
No, you do not need to rush to try to do a piece of art every week, no worries!
3. How much do we have to do to qualify for the raffle?
You only need to make and post 1 piece of art (a sketch with colour) in order to qualify for the raffles. If you wish to do more as just extra gifts, feel free! You have 3 weeks to work on it, so if you wish to do 1 fullbody piece or several headshots, either is fine! Whatever you have time for.
4. Does it have to be digital?
You can do traditional art or digital art as you wish! If you go traditional, please upload a photo or scan of the image.
5. Do we have to complete it before the first raffle drawing?
The number of semi-customs drawn will increase proportionally to the number of completed participants, so don't worry about rushing to be done before the first drawing, you'll have equal chances all the way through the month.
6. Where do we post our pictures?
Once you have finished drawing your picture, upload it to your favourite image hosting site (or post it if it is in the CS oekaki) and please post the link in this thread! Please make sure to mention who it was for so they can pick up their art!
7. Can we private message our randomized user to give them the art?
Absolutely! Feel free to send them the link in a private message as well if you wish, but make sure you post it here to be included in the raffle!
