Polecat Drakes, which are completely unrelated to actual polecats, are a furry species of drake that have characteristics of felines, equines, canines, and drakes. Their general body shape is similar to that of polecats, hence where they got their name. They come in a wide variety of colors and body types, with heights ranging between those of Great Dane dogs (70 cm) to mid-sized ponies (152 cm). They are very social creatures, vocalizing with whinnies, growls, rumbles, and barks. Their social groups typically consist of their immediate family along with a handful of unrelated males and females. Female drakes will typically have 5 pregnancies throughout their lifetime, and can have anywhere from one to two hatchlings per pregnancy.

Height: 70 cm - 152 cm (average of 95 cm - 130 cm)
Eyes: Any color is acceptable, natural or otherwise
Standard Mane Types: Long, Extended Long, Roached, or Extended
Standard Tail Types: Tufted, Feline, Canine, or Drake

Chimerism
A chimeric coat is the result of two embryos fusing while in utero and gives a drake two separate base coats. Markings will show over both coats of a chimeric drake, but dilutions will be restricted to the individual coats seen on the drake.
Chimerics can only be seen within breedings or special milestone adopts (50s and 100s), and can be either a full coat type or a brindle-type chimeric. Chimerism happens at random, so if it comes up in a breeding after twins have already been positively rolled for, the user who ordered the breeding doesn't have any say in which type of chimerism the drake will have, that decision is solely up to the artist designing the foal.

Somatic Mutations
A somatic mutation is a bodily mutation that is not heritable from parent to offspring. This mutation turns a portion of the drake's coat "off" and strips a dilution from the area effected. In drakes with a dilution, such as a palomino, the mutation will change the coat to chestnut; a bay will have the coat changed to black. Black or chestnut drakes with a somatic mutation will have the affected area turn white.
In gray drakes, it creates blood marks, more commonly known as bloody shoulders.

Edits
Edits such as added items, small lineart edits (i.e. horns, ear edits, additional eyes, non-functional wings, prosthetics), and different manes and tails are acceptable, but all other major lineart edit types including functional wings, additional sets of legs or additional heads are not permitted. Any edits made are subject to pass in breedings as the requested breeding artist sees fit, they are not guaranteed to pass though. Any larger line edits released will be discussed among the team and done so via an event to ensure an equal opportunity for the community to obtain without charge.

or minimal splash. It is no longer restricted as a Sabino only occurrence.

Corn marks can be seen in any roan. They are made of damaged hair
follicles that occur from minor injury to the skin, and the hair grows
back as the base coat beneath the white.

Watermark greys are not restricted, they are usually seen
in young horses as portions of the coat lighten in but other areas
remain darker in color until they grey out fully.

This dilution adds a dark green tint on any drake only carrying Cr_ or prlprl. Dominant to Amethyst and Ruby.

Sapphire (u)
SaSa / Sasa
This dilution adds a deep blue tint on any drake only carrying Ch_. Dominant to Amethyst and Ruby.

The stripes can be any thickness and as few as one, and there is no limit on how many crystal stripes there can be. Is seen over dilutions, but under other markings, sooty, and white markings.

Gold Dust (r)
DstDst only
Adds gold freckling along the back of the drake and along the bridge of the nose. Can be either a light freckling or occasionally a moderate freckling. Is visible over dilutions and other markings, but goes under sooty and white markings. Slightly affects mane/tail coloration by adding golden coloration where the freckling gets more heavy.

Filigree (c)

common - (c) / uncommon - (u) / rare - (r) / limited - (l)

Mackerel Tabby (c)
MclMcl / Mclmcl / MclCl
Adds striping similar to that of Mackerel Tabby cats that is a darker shade of the base coat. Shares a locust with Classic Tabby and is the more dominant gene of the two. Shows over dilutions, but under other markings, sooty, and white markings.

Classic Tabby (c)
ClCl / Clcl
Adds striping similar to that of Classic Tabby cats that is a darker shade of the base coat. Shares a locust with Mackerel Tabby and is the recessive gene. Shows over dilutions, but under other markings, sooty, and white markings.

Spotted (u)
SpSp (results in Spotted Tabby) / Spsp (results in Broken Mackerel)
When present with Mackerel Tabby genes, it breaks up the Tabby gene expression into either a broken or spotted appearance.

Ticked (r)
+ Ticked
Restricts any Tabby expressions to only stripes on the face, upper legs, and tail tip and adds speckling along the back, down the legs and sides, and down the tail and forehead. Will only show if present with a Tabby gene.

Bengal (r)
+ Bengal
Adds a wild type modifier to Tabby expressions, causing the marking to have a sort of filled appearance.

Colorpoint (r)
cpcp only
Restricts all coat color (markings and all) to only be visible on the ears, face, paws, and tail, leaving the rest of the body an off-white color. Occasionally the base coat will be slightly visible along the torso. Goes over everything other than white markings.

Karpati (l)
+ Karpati
Based off of the Karpati cat. Adds light gray to white color points i.e. tail, ears, face, and anywhere from halfway down the legs to just covering the toes. Covers all markings.
