The staff collectively felt that since there was an extensive amount of changes made, that a proper FAQ to answer most of your questions and concerns would be both useful and necessary. Below are the more frequent questions comprised thus far, as more are asked we will answer and add to this list.

What date counts for the 'one a month' rules?

For regular (main, RU or nursery) adoptions & regular batch claims count for the month they were originally posted in. In the case of a gift, it counts against the month transferred to the new owner and counts against one of the "one a month" limitations based on whether it's a regular adopt or batch.

Which adopts can we adopt and their limits?

Regular adoptions on main thread, grown abandoned batches, and RUs are one per month per user. Batches are one per month per user. DA adopts are up to two per month. Customs are not limited by how many can be posted in the same month but are still limited to only being allowed five total. Gifts (adopt or batch) count towards the respective limits depending upon where they came from. Community hosted or re-adopts do not count towards any limit and are limitless, same goes for PPS abandoned batches.

Does the "One Month" rule mean I can only have 1 batch or 1 adopt?
No, it's just individual limits per each section. If you win a main thread adopt, abandoned batch (grown), RU or gift it counts as your limit for the main thread. The nursery has a separate limit for requested batches. So to clarify you can have 1 adopt won & 1 batch claimed in the same month.

What counts as Community Hosted?

Any viscet or batch that is put up for re-adoption or adoption by members of the community that are not official staff members. Re-adopts/disowned viscets or personal batch adopts hosted by members of staff do not count towards any limits either and fall under the community hosted limits.

What about Events?

During events every user is allotted one extra adoption slot in the month for the Event specifically. These are not applicable for anything else but the event itself. But a singular user cannot win more than one event adopt even if they have not used their regular adopt limit that month. This means either event rare or the legendary. Also a singular user can only win one legendary a year (Jan. - Dec. of that year).

Why can I only keep one batch a month but can still request up to two?

This is to make a more fair limit that is universal. The limit of two batch submission requests counts whether you post them individually or are involved in breeding with a viscet that is owned by someone else. So we're keeping the two submission rule so if two individuals want to breed the same pair and each keep a batch in the same month then they can.

What about MYO Raffles? Are those limited?

MYO raffles will still be at the respective milestones (every 100, 500 and 1000), and there is no limit to how many you can try out for but again you can only have a max of 5 customs total regardless of how many viscets you have or own.

Changes to MYO Tiers? Can you explain them?

Sure, our MYOS originally only have three tiers, T1 - T2 - T3, but we have since adjusted and changed a little about them. We have moved a Tier 3 "Go crazy" ticket to being a Tier 4 instead and replace the Tier 3 slot with a ticket that gives you 5 traits with up to 2 being rare. We've made the addition of a Tier 0, which is a non-edited viscet myo, because we did have some interest in it. Tier 0's will be a little cheaper since they have no edits.

How will the MYO changes effect the Milestone Raffles?

Well T1 & T2 milestones will stay the same, being given away every 100 in this pattern: T1, T1, T2. The New T3 will be given away every 500, and the T4 will be given away every 1000. We will also have random myo giveaways for special occasions such as events or anniversaries. The Tier 0 won't be given away for milestone raffles, but will be given away during some events, holidays or special occasions, so keep an eye out.

So will all the new MYOs be Purchase-able?

Mostly yeah, all tiers will be purchase-able aside from the "go crazy" tier. Tier 0 tickets will be available for 800 points or $8 usd. Tier 1 and Tier 2 tickets will remain the same as before. The new Tier 3 will be purchase-able for 2200 points or $22 usd. And just as before Tier 4 or "go crazy" tickets are not purchase-able.

What about exchanges and trades?

Viscets have never been and never will be trade-able. You can disown, re-adopt or gift your viscets still, and only if purchased on dA via points/cash can they be sold for the amount purchased at or less.
MYO tickets can be traded (for artwork, writing, etc), or gifted to other users. And can be re-sold but only for their regularly sold worth (e.g.: Tier 1 = 1000 points, so that's as much as you'd be permitted to sell it for).

If I want to disown, re-adopt out or gift a viscet of mine away, how would I go about it?

In order to disown, re-adopt out or gift any viscet, you must first contact me (Mint Chip) that you would like to do so. I will reply back to approve this, then you are required to contact james. the archivist, and the original artist of the adopt to tell them of the change in ownership. In the case of a member quitting, you can disown all your viscets at once and the staff will put them up for re-adoption at a later date.

What about cool downs between exchanges?

Those are remaining the same for the most part. There is a 30-day cooldown between opposite viscet transfers concerning 2 users. Meaning if you gift a viscet to a user, you cannot receive a gift from same user for 30 days & vice versa. Adopts won or batches claimed cannot be gifted away until 30 days of ownership. A bred viscet cannot be gifted away if it has been bred within the last 30 days either. But we keep in mind that being gifted a viscet or batch will now count against your monthly limits.

Will the OC'ing rules change?

Not really, you can still do pretty well what you'd like with personality, interests, sexuality, etc. The only rule that may chance is the "do not add accessories" rule as I and majority of the staff sees no issue with you adding items or accessories to your viscet. However do keep in mind that you cannot add accessories that are extreme or mimic anatomy. (this includes robotic limbs, "extra limbs", large wings, etc.) Abilities aren't limited really so long as it doesn't change their feral anatomy (e.g. anthros are fine, but you cannot change a feral viscet into a tiger with or without shapeshifting).
***small wing armor are fine so long as they are not functional as wings so as not to confuse individuals since we do have a legendary with functional wings. hang gliders, jetpacks, etc are fine as they can't be confused or misinterpreted as being part of the viscet's anatomy.

Is there any other changes?

Beyond what has been outlined, I don't think so. However it is required and advised that you read through all the rules and understand them. By continuing to participate in the viscet community you are complying to the rules and will be held accountable if rules are broken. So please be sure to read them all, if you have a question, a concern or something that is confusing please don't hesitate to ask for clarification.
