Immediately the cats crowded around and eventually someone took a bite.

Spiderstep discovers a mysterious small path in the mines that hasn't been discovered yet. He decides to go inside to explore and all he finds is spiderwebs at first but then the deeper he went it was discovered that this small opening way further in expands into a great big cave room full of shiny crystals, all of various sizes and shapes. It was beautiful and completely unexpected and warranted some further exploration so he left, marked his path and went to find the others to help him keep exploring.

Grecia padded up to her side, and looked down with surprise. "Hey, that's your candy cane from last year! It's probably bad now, but I remember how you wanted a candy hunt so badly you just went ahead and sprinkled candy all around the forest without waiting for the other cats to even agree to participate!"

Santa was stunned. That... indeed did happen. There were probably definitely remnants left over, since not that many cats decided to participate in the end.

Smoothing her ruffled fur, she meowed calmly, "Let's go find the rest of the candy."
