Most of the squirrels, voles, and other small rodents go into hibernation. The medium animals, like raccoons and possums try their best to forage, but usually stick to their hoards for the winter. Now the big animals, deer, wolverines, and bears, they're the real mystery. The Principality tends to stay away from bears and wolverines, with them being extremely deadly to cats of all sizes, so no cat really knows what happens to them in the winter. The sightings definitely slow down, but everyone still keeps a safe distance. The wolverines are often seen more, since their pelt sticks out in the snow, but for the most part nothing changes with them. The deer tend to stay in the same general areas and are usually docile towards cats, but can be scary due to their size. The herd's babies have all grown up, so they aren't as susceptible to temperature and the adults don't act any different, either. For the most part, winter is a quiet season in Ophigar.

when winter descends upon the kingdom of azeryn, the villages can expect... some additional visitors in their homes. most animals are able to survive the cold with their thick, fluffy coats, but there are some that still prefer the warmth and safety not to mention the snacks at the villagers' homes!

Unfortunately, most animals among the lands of Altan are already scarce during the freezing temperatures of the night - leaving the hunters having to scavenge among various dens, nooks and crannies in order to find unsuspecting prey. With the addition of snow making everything colder, the prey has traveled deeper into the earth, deeper into hiding. Few - if any - dare to leave their hiding places, only those like the jerboa and hare occasionally being spotted, alongside an owl or feathered companion.

Prompt: The animals have been able to survive the harsh weather of MistClan for the most part. Some of them may have a hard time toughing through the cold but most of them are able to. They often stay hidden to keep warm under the snow and in their dens so they do not freeze in the cold.

Prompt: the wildlife that lives around their territory is used to the cold so it doesn't pose much of a threat to them. luckily, during the colder months, these animals are much less active and often completely avoid the cat's camp and mind their own business, or even go into hibernation. some birds migrate during the colder season, sometimes giving the clan less prey to feed on, but other than that the wildlife co-exists with the clans. each to their own.

many little critters and animals brave the cold during the wintertime! with magic on their side, they can be seen dancing about and exploring the territory, now adorned with snow! although, not all animals are fond of this weather, as some of them are a little grumpy and don't like being spotted by anything / anyone!

For better or for worse, the majority of wildlife around FrostClan does just fine in the cold - they're quite used to living in it as well, after all. But with the advantages of thriving prey comes the difficulties of said prey's survival techniques - and, of course, the abundance of predators that are just as atuned to the cold.

Fortunately, the cats know just as well how to hunt and survive, from tracking through snow to pinpointing burrows buried beneath tree roots - as well as keeping out of the way of foxes and wolves.

there are some harder creatures in fogclan. their territory is used to this cold regardless if f how each prey feels. but, most just hibernate through the winter in their hollows or move down south if they are birds. but, some brace the cold and try to find food, only to become it themself. as for fish, they can access them somewhat if they crack through ice at the right spot. so, it typically depends.

─ the groves wildlife seems to go into a deep slumber. most of the rabbits in the territory go into hibernation due to the extreme cold though most of the birds and rodents stay active though they tend to keep close to their dens and out of the open snow. birds are the main course during the winter as they are the easiest things to catch for the tribe, unless they can find the rodents under the snow which isn't the easiest. wildlife does shift and change during the colder months, as the lack of undergrowth and foliage protection leads bigger predators to move into the groves. wolves are among the biggest issue for the tribe as they tend to hunt at all hours throughout the grove making hunting especially dangerous though the tribe tends to stay off of the forest floor during the winter. two other predators that appear to disrupt the peace are foxes and bears though the bears don't wander very deep into the groves. foxes don't pose to much of the threat as a patrol could easily handle one of them and they've learned not to come close to mother tree though sometimes one gets a little bold and attempt to snag a cat.
