response: Hekate graces the Grand Hall with her presence, donning a beautiful sash and chiton, along with a beautiful masquerade mask. She is hesitant to leave, wanting to mingle with the crowd here, to once again find new clients. Who cares if this is a whole different world than the one she lives in? Magic is magic after all!

The Gardens call her name, whispering on the wind. Taking a breather, Hekate looks around, leaning over to carefully sniff some of the flowers before her. Nature had its role in the beauty of magic, after all. One has to appreciate what exists before them to fully engage their abilities in magic.

A masquerade ball, is that so?

He found himself standing in front of the entrance to the City Hall, where the masquerade ball was supposed to take place. If he thought all the crowds of fables he was seeing in the past days were alot, then he underestimated Stormire's population and its visitors. The swarms of fables were gathering around, both inside and outside near the Hall's entrance. He glanced around, vaguely recognizing someone who looked like Lórien, but from this distance he wasn't sure enough to approach. More than that, he wasn't sure if he would like to approach him.

And also... all of fables were wearing masks. Why were they wearing masks? Was it some sort of tradition here?

"Excuse me, Sir, but if you would like to participate tonight, you will need to wear a mask" he heard a voice from behind "I don't think your... erm... halo and wings would work as one. It is a MASQERADE BALL, afterall." the brownish fable hidden behind black and white half mask with pale feathers looked down on him.

"Uh... Oh." Aleph pondered for the brief second "Where can i buy one now?"

The stranger raised his brow. Not like Aleph saw it behind the mask, but he could clearly tell it from the stare the other fable gave him.

"Buy? Here? That's a good one!" the masked fable bursted out laugh "You non locals are funny sometimes!" he walked away, grinning widely, leaving Aleph alone with the issue.

Did I say something funny? Noone ever told him about this, how could he know? But, did it mean that he won't be able to get in now? He has to get a mask, no matter what. It wasn't about the ball itself. Aleph wasn't a fan. But the curiosity won over him and he only hoped it won't kill the cat this time.

Did he get extremely lucky or fate wanted to play a trick of some sort of him? He suddenly realized that a mask was lying right next to his hooves. How did it get here? It was ugly and he didn't like it, but he guessed he had no other options than just to take it and put it on.





Walking inside, he trusted one of his main rules - one can never go wrong by following the music... and he quickly regretted it. The east atrium was filled with dancing fables. They looked intimidating with their royal attires and he immediately felt out of place.

Out of the corner of his eye he noticed that some of them were looking at him, so he quickly stepped to the another room. Never liked to be noticed.




The West Atrium looked a bit quieter, in terms of the atmosphere at least. The room itself was what amazed him. He stopped by the wall for a moment, adoring the architecture. Someone definitely had a great idea and skills to put the idea into real life. It reminded him of his own Plane, the one he originally came from. Where was it? Where was his home? Did he forget?..

mask design: Deep/bottle green-white-black mask, strangely looking like the Jester's. The mask face is full white with bright red lips, grinning widely. It is decorated with black and golden ornaments, looking kinda fancy but also a bit cheap from close up. There are few green, white and black curly headdress extending from the forehead with small bells at the ends.

mask design:

its silver, a solid filigreed thing - it covers the entire face, save for the eyes. despite its significant size, the craft is significantly delicate. it covers the whole face, up to the ears, and is crowned with a mighty crest of antlers. the antlers, too, are made of finest silver. it is equal parts alluring and alarming. it casts the wearer in reflections of silver, white, and icy blue every time a light flickers across it. truly a magnificent work my a talented blacksmith.

response: Although Aurora intends (yup, she sure does) to visit the main hall, she gets entirely sidetracked with the beautiful sight of the west atrium. She can’t help but think of the view of the stars she has from her own home. Feeling a bit queasy with homesickness, Aurora makes her way into the garden for fresh air and the calming atmosphere of green leaves.
