Day: three
Answer:
being the overseer of this clan isn’t as solo and heavy of a task as it may sound. the clan works well as a unit and truly the overseer’s main role is to communicate with other groups or outside bodies. long ago the clan had been run by a tyrant that wrecked havoc on the trust of the felines calling the clan home. ever since that rein came to an end leadership is a much lighter role. there are now roles in place to help monitor the overseer and ensure history does not repeat itself. the leader appears larger to the outside world, more of a “force to be reckoned with.” The clan believes if outside groups knew of the minor role their leadership plays that they would assume their clan to be weak or that the leader is incompetent. They leader therefore tends to lead patrols and go out, being in the public eye a great deal. The leader is able to suggest things but unless the counsel comes to a unanimous decision, it isn’t likely to come into effect unless the clan strongly voices that they side with the decision. This can lead to things taking a lot of time to process and some hurt feelings, but they prefer this greatly of course compared to the disaster that some of the elders speak of. They still have plenty of time to work out the kinks and figure out the best way to run a system that works for the clan and not just for an individual.

Answer: [280 words]
when it comes to the cats of the paroxysm, all are encouraged to be independent and are taught how to fend for themselves via rigorous training that starts when cats reach six months of age. this push for independence has both its pros and its cons, but ultimately it is how the group has always functioned on account of the state of the world- the cats have to be ready for everything, after all, including isolation. despite this aspect of the cats' culture, though, there are still roles and responsibilities divvied up amongst everyone to ensure that the group is able to function healthily and more or less stay together.
the role closest to a 'leader', that the others may turn to in times of need or when there is a dispute that needs settling, is called the conductor. the conductor's main responsibilities include but are not limited to: making group-wide decisions such as camp relocation or barring the group from going to specific parts of the territory for their safety, assigning neophytes to specific mentors, making announcements when the need arises, and general overseeing.
they are integral to the group. more than just their responsibilities, they are beacons of order, and lighthouses when the world seems foggy and unclear. to be a conductor is to be a cat who has seen the group through hard times and has proven their devotion to the others; they are chosen via vote, though a pattern has seemed to arise in recent years where the conductor chosen is next of kin to the previous conductor. this is the case with the current one, neverender, whose father is renowned as one of the best.

The leader is of upmost respect within Ravagers Luck. The cat who is chosen for this position is that of which who proved themselves to the Ones Who Once Were and took upon the 9 Lives of the Past. However, this position isn’t one of silent authority. The leader has an arrangement of lower cats below them that span from deputies, captains, medicine cats, and more. They work like a well oiled machine together, and over time have assisted in keeping the position of power within only those who wish to bring peace and prosperity to the clan. The leader gives insight from their, hopeful, years of knowledge and provides the clan with an ear to listen to and assist with proceedings. They are also responsible for assisting the Medicine Cat in naming apprentices for their Fate of the Feather ceremonies by accepting visions from the Starcats.
The leader itself is meant to be the foremost head of the clan and represents it when speaking during The Meeting of the Moons. When the leader is not present or needs to be succeeded in death, their secondary deputy takes their place and proves their rite to the Ones Who Once Were. Once a leader receives their lives, they live with them until death, even if they relinquish their position of power within the clan, however the cat to succeed them unfortunately will not receive the same fate of a full 9 lives. As they will only ever get the amount of lives minus the ones the previous leader had left.

The leader of the Kingdom was a massive responsibility the King and Queen often never had a choice of embracing. A King or Queen is allow to mate whomever they please, but it is frowned upon to bring a low standing cat into royalty, royals often end up mating to nobles within the Kingdom to avoid witnessing the shame that may be cast upon them for mating anyone else.
The Kingdom cats always respected royalty, practically bowing to each of their commands. Royals have power over the whole Kingdom but most decide to confront a council they have constructed to ask for feedback. Every royal is allowed to assemble a council they can lean on, they are allowed to completely reconstruct the council of a passed royal, being a council member never guarantees you a permanent place, but royals often choose to appoint older members of the Kingdom to have more knowledge within their council.
The most prominent monarch is allowed two councils, one of their own appointed cats, who had often followed them all the way through they royalty reign, and one with cats elected by the rest of the Kingdom. The council of cats assembled by the others within the Kingdom is often used when a decision is being challenged so that there is no prior bias in the decisions. Cats within the Kingdom are allowed to sit in on these council meetings and may have some influence on the outcome. It is highly encouraged for cats to participate in the meetings to have more of a say within the Kingdom.

"Oh man that sounds like a lot of responsibility...I don't think I could manage being the leader of a whole clan. Running this every year is enough of a hassle!"
The mysterious figure let out a chuckle and thought for a moment before reaching down and pulling out yet another prize ticket.
"Since you have to deal with so much I suppose you have earned yourself another prize.."
As you take the ticket you feel the mysterious strangers paw is a bit more hesitant to let go this time.
"You will come back tomorrow right?"

Answer: (Since I don't have a cat yet I'll just say what my founder would.) [word count = 121]
My founder would most definitely enjoy treats more than tricks. I imagine that they'll be a sweet cat who's a tad bit too soft to take many tricks without his feelings getting hurt. He'd however thrive off of tiny little treats, like little flowers that the kittens would deliver or yummy little eggs. Though despite enjoying treats more receiving wise, he's a total trickster to others. He'll go out of his way to prank the other cats as much as he possibly can just because he can really... he doesn't really gain much from the small pranks of slightly moving someone's nest or carefully moving them a few tunnels over as they sleep but he finds it extremely fun to do.

Answer: (394 words) Star Wavepool adores giving treats out to his Clanmates every leaf-fall! It started as a strange exchange that the previous FloodClan leader saw the Twolegs taking part in before they began to emulate the Twolegs' behavior. Once, when a furless kittypet was visiting the large Twoleg den with its Twoleg companions, the previous Star, then a young and fierce apprentice, boldly decided to ask it what the Twolegs were doing when they exchanged these small, eye-bright items. The furless cat mrrped with laughter and explained what the Twolegs called "Hollow Wean" and "Tricker's Treat". The small eye-bright leaf-like items were actually wrapped around a piece of prey, a practice FloodClan themselves had recently adopted. The apprentice brought this information back to FloodClan's Star when the furless cat left again, and the Clan decided to turn it into their very own celebration! Cats (aside from kits and queens) didn't eat when the sun was up, and the first thing to wean their hollow bellies back on food once the moon had risen was whatever their Clanmates brought them. Each cat could recieve only one item, so typically mates and elders would spend all day hunting for the best prey to give their companions and the brightest leaves to wrap it in. The Star at the time also put on a small festival every leaf-bare, pretending that the cats were Twolegs as they exchanged their leaf-wrapped prey (after which the real festivities could begin). When that Star passed and the fierce, young apprentice that had spoken to the furless cat became their successor, the Twoleg imitation was done away with due to too many cats falling over and hurting their legs when they stood on their back two. Nowadays, Star Wavepool gathers the softest prey for the youngest kits (after asking their Mew and Paw, of course!) and the smallest and juciest prey for the elders. He leaves the apprentices and warriors to hunt for each other, and sometimes the Evergreens will bring Star Wavepool small, succulent leaves of catmint, or the Wingbeats will bring broad, colorful feathers. Star Wavepool has noted this behavior and plans to ask the Collectors how to find beautiful shells and rocks and fragments before next cycle's Hollow Wean in order to introduce FloodClan to gifts that will be given freely alongside the wrapped prey, even multiple to the same cats!
Hi, I'm Mahogany! I use he/vey/sun <3 I like character creation and Warriors. Sometimes I like to take pictures, although I wouldn't really call myself a photographer. The leaves here are actually two halves of a picture I took in Germany!
I love plants, meteorology, animals, water, chemistry, the wind... pretty much anything you'd learn about in a science class!

Answer: (i do not yet have a cat so posting in reference to my to be founder)
the founder of new day clan is known to enjoy his fair share of treats of course, that’s one of the main parts of an apprentice’s training. they stay quite busy finding plump mice to bring to him. unfortunately for surrounding clans and even some clan mates, he much prefers tricks. he has been well known for his tricks ever since a young kit, just old enough to cause trouble. being the biggest in the litter he would convince the others to venture off alongside him, telling them it was for fun, in reality it was to cause panic in the entire clan and have a mass frenzy of find the kittens. now-a-days he doesn’t do too many pranks, but when he does, they are quite intricate. for example, the past moon he had managed to sneak a bursted skunk struck by a two-leg transport into the prey pile in a neighboring clan that he doesn’t much care for.

Answer:"What do I think about what? Trick or treating? Is that a commoner's game or something?"
Being a royal, Cyril's never really gone trick or treating, but once he was told about it, he never shut up about it. He tried to read up on the tradition, but there were hardly any books on it. Very unfortunate for him. Though, his second All Hallow's Eve, he did dress up as a commoner to go trick or treating. He scored lots of stride meat, lots of mice, he even ended up getting a skellybone rib! We're all pretty sure his fur was recognizable to everyone and that's how he got all of his treats.
"Oh yeah, I LOVE trick or treating!?"

For the leader cat, it really depends on whether they are on the giving or receiving end. They definitely have a playful nature and despite having to be the responsible cat, looking over everyone, they often end up pulling playful pranks on their clanmates. When it comes to other cats tricking them - they would probably prefer to be given a tasty treat instead. Unless the trick is funny. The more elaborate and thought out and the more laughs it ends up bringing - the better. However, treats can be jus as nice, especially if they end up being something more than just an item. Actions, like cleaning the fur or going for a nice walk, that strengthen the bond between cats are the most appreciated.
What a beautiful, beautiful thing

when you're not asleep.
