It’s a dark and stormy night, but some people enjoy that.

Axl, being one that prefers the night over the day anyhow, quite likes the darkness that comes with the night. Paired together with a gentle storm and it makes the perfect match.

He enjoys listening to the sound of the rain pattering on his roof as he works through the night on his music and making the perfect song. It brings him a sort of comfort. It gives him happiness to be able to relax and listen to the sounds of the storm.

And the sound of rustling leaves in the trees is good too, he finds.

These sounds often give hm insperation for his music too. When he hits a dead end or enters a slump, sitting back and listing to the sounds from a storm outside his home always seems to help whenever one is happening.

And Axl would take a dark and stormy night over a sunny day any day.

amaryllis does not like storms. first of all, there's the thunder. hearing these big booms out of nowhere can really scare the living daylights out of her, especially if she's trying to sleep or relax. this leads to amaryllis becoming very grumpy, and you don't want to be around amaryllis when she's in a bad mood. it's also quite annoying to her when she's outside trying to do something important, when out of nowhere it starts to rain.

speaking of being outside, one of amaryllis's favorite activities is surfing. when it storms, it can become quite dangerous to be out on the waves. sure, amaryllis has surfed during bad weather before, but with most storms the waves are just too high for a average skilled surfer like herself. baking is always an option, but you can never tell if the power is going to go out, and then you have a half baked cake sitting in your oven for who knows how long.

Prompt Answer; Yes, I absolutely adore stormy weather! My very favorite is a good bit of rain with some thunder and lightning, but I could also go for a snow storm -- as long as the power doesn't go out, that is!

Why do I love stormy weather so much? Well it's probably because it's the perfect setting to do all of my favorite activities! When the sky starts acting up and unleashes its fury upon us all, I have a good reason to stay inside, comfy and cozy, with no expectation I should overwhelm myself with whatever is happening in the great outdoors.

It's a good excuse to put on an old classic movie as background noise, bring out the latest book I am reading, and bundle up under a whole bunch of warm and fuzzy blankets! I put on my favorite robe and make a nice hot bowl of tomato soup (topped with cheez-its, of course). And the options for warm beverages are delightful! Maybe I'd make a cup of coffee if it's early, afternoon is time for tea, and supposing it's after dinner I could really go for a steaming mug of hot cocoa with a bit of marshmallows to spice things up.

In short, a stormy day is a perfect day!

Being a goobie of the sea, storms remind him of home-- the rain coming down from the sky a pleasant reminder of the ocean and the crashing lightning and thunder reminding him of churning, angry waves. Urchin's grouchy temperament also predisposes him to liking storms. Whether he's home, at sea, or anywhere at all, Urchin tends to find even the nastiest, most outlandish storms comfortable and familiar. Some say it's because his own personality so so loud and violent that it's just an echo of self to him, but he won't make a comment on this either way. His good and perhaps only friend Holly is terrified of storms, though-- the lightning makes the poor goob's metaphorical skin crawl-- but with his grouchy, storm-loving friend Urchin providing much needed comfort, Holly can weather them alright. Urchin's never understood why other goobs don't find storms as relaxing as he does, but... he isn't really here to judge. Urchin just enjoys a good storm-- listening to the rain fall as he drifts into sleep is just comfortable to him.
