Kit LifeIt was out of a Code-breaking affair that Tigerkit was born. His mother was a loner named Lucille who lived just outside of Clan territory. His father was a tom named Barkstripe. Barkstripe was heavily punished for his transgressions, short of being exiled. Instead he was allowed to stay in the Clan and raise his son. His other kit stayed with Lucille, and without the Clan's knowledge, he still went to visit her often. Tigerkit and Rose were raised separately. When Tigerkit was nearly old enough to be a warrior, Barkstripe began to take him with him to the visits. He built a stable relationship with his sister, though both of them disliked their parents for choosing to remain separate and raise the kits as such.
Apprentice lifeThroughout his apprenticeship Tigerpaw's secrets became overwhelming. It turned him paranoid, though he didn't want to stop - Lucille had passed recently, so Rose was on her own. Despite Barkstripe's pleading she refused to come with them to the Clan, as she didn't want to live by their laws and ways, and she wanted to travel the world like Lucille when she was old enough to hunt and fight. Tigerpaw shared his training with her, though it damaged his relationship with his Clanmates - how could he make friends if he only made time for his outsider sister?
Warrior + lifeAs they became adults, Tigerspring and Rose began to spend less and less time together. Tigerspring was beginning to make a proper place for himself in the Clan, especially following Barkstripe's death. The negative stigma about his origins was fading due to his father's death, and Tigerspring wasn't very close to him, so he did not grieve long. The visits resumed, however, when Rose told Tigerspring she was pregnant. It was on one of these visits that he found her covered in blood with a small, cold body at her side. This was a grief unlike anything the tabby tom had experienced before. He took the bloody kit back to camp, where it spent time being nursed back to health and taken care of in the medicine cat's den due to injuries taken from whatever killed Rose. Finally, Tigerspring was able to see her. He named the kit Goldenkit, as she was already old enough to have developed her eye color - a deep amber. The leader allowed Goldenkit to stay though Tigerspring was punished for his relationship with his outsider sister. Goldenowl still does not know that Tigerspring is not her biological father - and has never questioned it, given their similar appearances.
P E R S O N A L I T YTigerspring is a quiet, generally happy tom. He does tend to be paranoid when he's alone, though with Clanmates, that part of him usually evaporates. He's very family oriented, and loves his daughter/niece dearly. He very much wants to fall in love and have a litter of his own kits, but he's spent the majority of his life raising his sister's daughter and fulfilling his duties, so he doesn't have a particular queen in mind.
