Kit Life
Turtlekit was born to Barksmudge and Firefang. Firefang was a sickly tom, and passed shortly after his son's birth. Turtlekit heard many stories of his father from Barksmudge, and despite never meeting him, loves Firefang dearly and wishes everyday that he could have lived.

Apprentice life
Turtlepaw had a fairly even split of hard work and fun while serving the Clan as an apprentice. The tom had plenty of friends, and still made time to see his mother, who still treated him like a kit in the nursery. It was during his apprenticeship that Turtlepaw met Furzepaw. She was special to him right away. She was feisty and had a loud, sassy mouth. She bantered with him and was quick to engage in competition. They would often train together since they were so competitive, and more than once she put him on his back in defeat. By the time they passed their assessments, Turtlepaw was head over heels.

Warrior + life
Turtlepaw became Turtlemask, and Furzepaw became Furzeblossom. Turtlemask and Furzeblossom became mates immediately, and spent many happy, happy moons together. Turtlemask was lucky to still have a living mother who he had a good relationship with. His life seemed perfect. That was, until Twolegs began to destroy their territory. In the fight to escape, Furzeblossom insisted that Turtlemask make sure that Barksmudge escape the elders' den that she had recently retired too, while she helped in the nursery. Turtlemask reluctantly agreed - she gave his muzzle a long, loving lick, and then she bounded off. That was the last Turtlemask ever saw her. He lingered to look for her forever, but it wasn't until after he was forced to leave in hopes that she already had that another warrior informed him that she'd seen her die. Turtlemask was heartbroken. They had been trying for kits for many moons, though Furzeblossom just hadn't gotten pregnant - it had made their relationship more tense in the last moon, as she was terrified that she was infertile, or that he was. She had just discovered that she was bearing his kits the day before their final stand in their old territory. Now, Turtlemask is still healing. His heart is pretty broken, but he's beginning to move on.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
Turtlemask is a careful, calculated cat. He's fairly strict with younger cats, and has fatherly tendencies - he would have been a great father to his kits. He used to be a hopeless romantic, but since he was devoted to Furzeblossom so long, he wouldn't even know where to begin these days. Besides, he's wary around queens now anyway - why get close to one if he could just lose them like he did his former mate?

Warrior + life
Barksmudge has grown old within ThistleClan. She was born and raised in it. She fell in love with a handsome, brave tom named Firefang, who she had a litter with. Unfortunately he was a sickly cat and passed shortly after his son's birth. Barksmudge spent his kithood telling Turtlekit, now Turtlemask, about his father. She had the pleasure of watching him grow up and become a fine warrior of the Clan, and to fall in love himself, and retired to the elders' den. She was happy that he was able to settle down with a nice she-cat and was thrilled when he told her Furzeblossom was pregnant - though the timing wasn't great. Their territory was in danger, and it was the very next day they were driven from it. While escaping the camp, Barksmudge had injured her leg, and was struggling to even leave the den. Turtlemask came to her rescue. Once she had been taken to safety, he went back, and she realized his pregnant mate was missing. Turtlemask was beside himself with grief as the Clan made its journey - a grief that Barksmudge knows all too well, though she got to have her litter. Finally the Clan has settled, and Barksmudge now rests once more as an elder of the Clan.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
Barksmudge is an old, kind soul. She's very motherly and loves spinner exaggerated tales for the kits and apprentices. From time to time she still enjoys going out for a hunt, though her old bones get tired quickly. She often suffers from aches and pains especially in her leg that was injured in escape, though she often doesn't show it, as it's just become part of her life. Family is very important to her, and hopes that at some point, Turtlemask gives her grandkits before her death.

So the border patrol scented a fox. Does anyone have any particular way they want it to go? I'll have Emberglow send Mallowtail (potentially Willowpaw too) back to the camp, but the fox can ambush them before/after that if anyone wants? Maybe it's protecting cubs or smth and that's why it's aggressive? I just don't want to do anything anyone wouldn't like, lol.

Ooh, I like the idea of it ambushing them. Willowpaw can get injured (not fatally, obviously, but enough to cause worry) trying to protect Mallowtail or something like that.

True...that could be an intriguing internal conflict, though. And Willowpaw would try her best to make him feel better.

It would definitely be interesting, that's for sure. And I like the idea of it having and protecting cubs.
This'll also provide some examples of the dangers the clan will have to face by living here.
